Feb. 4th, 2004 10:13 pmAfter a 36 comment conversation with myself in three different voices stemming from my own post? I'm feeling a little loopy. Also, feel like I've done my bit for now, especially as I missed all the RP types anyway. Was at school/dance during the rush-hour, I'm afraid. ^^;
First day of school wasn't so bad, aside from the PAIN of attempting to keep good posture whilst sitting on the gym floor in assembly for what seemed like eternity and also the whole new wonderful Orwellian, 1984 style swipe card thing. Sadly, it doesn't actually violate the Privacy Act as such. It just makes me feel very indignant.
Which reminds me... I have to bring my ID card to school tomorrow. *HEADDESK*
New form tutor seems quite nice. We actually got the school diaries on the first day for a change. And also, I broke my Golden Rule.
Rule Number 1 Before All Other Rules: NEVER VOLUNTEER. EVER. (omg I'm Nobby. *sweatdrop*)
So now I'm form Public Speaking person. Which means I have to, you know. Public speak. With a speech, even. W00t. I hate me.
It's so strange now that my year 10 friends are all year *11* friends. And I keep expecting to see last year's year 12s, and they're just not there any more. Ms Ellis said something about taking the year 12s to the Multimedia Centre...
Me: *pauses as the conversation continues* *after a long pause* Oh, hey! That's us!
*facepalm* Am an idiot. I know this. Unlike being crazy, though, I suspect it is NOT one of my better features. *grin*
Maths involved a lot of talking, and some small amount of work.
Japanese involved introduction to Yumi-sensei, the new Japanese assistant, and... a lot of talking. Some of it in Japanese, even. (EEE I got to see Heidi-sensei's photo of her and her daughters and Yasu all in kimono! And it was such a cool photo! Too bad she didn't bring the wedding photos...)
Then there was a free, where I guessed my password (... Sparrow!) and. Um. Got it right. ^^; I've changed it now, though, because it was overdue. So don't think you can hack into my school account. *wink* (Er. Not, of course, that you'd want to... I mean. It's REALLY very boring.)
English was cool, and you know what? I can't believe I'm actually bothering to type this up. Oh well. It was cool, I have my favourite teacher, it's studying the ORIGINS OF ENGLISH and Frar and Eujar and Teegs and Annie are all in my class, and yeah. It's cool.
Which reminds me. I have friends in all my classes.
Go me.
Er, anyway. Dance was dancish. Wearing a leotard was the only option given the heat and my lack of other available options, but made me self-conscious. Am very concerned that our costume may very well be peach.
Yeah. That's it, really. Not very interesting. Though I did to a tiny bit of writing, and a tiny (VERY TINY) bit of playing FF2. And of course I had that 36-comment conversation with myself.
I think I did a lot of nothing, too. Oh well.
... my god, I am actually happy to be back at school. That's just the creepiest thing ever. Ah well, it won't last. Just wait until I get my first piece of assessment.
ETA: Am sadly affected by own mild dyslexia. "THIS ISN'T A WORD!" I wailed, as the dictionary returned nothing for the combination of two kanji. Translation was rather set back, as I gave up for the night.
As it so turns out, I put them in backwards and it was a word I should know anyway. Le sigh.
