Jul. 8th, 2004 10:59 pm... I think my mother is quite insane. She bought Ebony a toy dog on a whim, and then for some bizarre reason known only to herself, she called it Basil.
... wtf?
And she's just named one of Ebony's other toys Cecil. Help me, no wonder I'm crazy!
In other news, after attempting it somewhere in the order of 15 times (very literally), I have FINALLY gotten past that stupid save-Lucca's-mother part of Chrono Trigger. It isn't SUPPOSED to be that hard; I did it on the SNES version with much less difficulty. This is to be blamed on a combination of the PS controller having no A button and me not realising you had to press X before you could start inputting the password. ^^; I vaguely recall having that issue on the SNES, too. Oop. Anyway, at least I don't have to sit through that conversation any more. Phew.
Walked to the dentist's today; still have no cavities, hooray. Teeth apparently very healthy. Dentist asked if I've been using an electric toothbrush as I've been cleaning so well. I have? W00t. Mwahahaha. Then I had work. Over for another week! YES.
I only have a week and a half left of holidays. WOE. And the last four days are probably going to be spent at the coast cleaning out the cupboards. *sigh*
I'm tempted to write Afterlife!X fic, just because I want it and there isn't any and whenever I try to surreptitiously persuade my friends to write things for me they say "Ooh, that's a good idea, write it!" and because I'ma doormat easily persuaded I do. Er. Then again, it would take a lot of writing. It would invariably be long!fic, which I have recently (read: last 2 years or so) avoided due to the knowledge that I am only good at finishing things so long as they are one-shots. Will have to consider this deeply, and weigh the likelihood that I will get distracted and move on to another fandom against how much I was afterlife!fic.
My mother is very persistent about this whole me knitting thing. As nice as it is that she's taking an interest and as guilty as I feel about not being more girly... I take this as further proof that she's definitely insane.

Also, I'm getting the horribly tempting urge to write CCD simply because there's bugger-all of it on the net. I can't write it. I haven't even read the canon. That's just silly. Ah well.
