Feb. 15th, 2004 12:14 amI was too hot today, and it resulted in one of my better ideas, namely wandering around the house all day in a bikini. It was a great improvement.
So I still hate IT, but I'm in a much better mood. Not even the perpetual sleep deprivation of school can get me down! Er, on second thoughts, maybe not. But still!
Did not in fact spend entire day on homework which was a pleasant change. Wrote a really dodgy and short Japanese film review on Spirited Away, but come on, what was I meant to say? I can't even write film reviews in ENGLISH. So I did that and then after spending half my day desperately trying to find some means of procuring VB.net (we considered going to the computer fair, but there was no guarantee they'd have it, and when we rang up the software shop it was $160. *dies*) I gave it up as a lost cause for the day.
And then proceeded to play FF2 for ages. Hey, why not?
Also, am determined that one day my japanese will be fluent. First I shall be able to read manga, then books, then I shall be able to play games, and THEN I'll be able to watch TV. Really. I hope.
Translation of the Mystic Quest guidebook is going well, aside from this one sentence:
だいじょうぶだろう。。。、と油断してると、思わぬダメージを受けることもあるよ。
I know what the seperate parts mean, I just can't get it to make sense. Grammar makes my existence miserable. ^^;
Also, I got to watch Pretty Woman for the first time today. Hooray! I feel like a serious lack in the cultural department has been rectified.
So, er, yeah. That's it. Oh, no, wait!
MARI: I left my ruler at your place. Also the list of characters you want me to draw. (You do realise that it has reached approximately 35 now, yes?) So could you bring them to school on Monday?
Also, sis's birthday is tomorrow. So there will be a big shiny post about that, and I shall send her an email.
ETA: Oh, and did anyone try to ring metoday yesterday? I mean, ring me and not get onto me. Because my dad answered the phone to someone while I was having a fight playing with the dog, told them I didn't want to speak to them and hung up without even bothering to ask me or find out who it WAS.
My dad's... a bit weird, sometimes.
