Happy St Patrick's Day!
Mar. 17th, 2004 11:07 pmYes, today was Clair's birthday, and it was also St Patrick's Day. I have one thing to say to that, being: Kiss me, I'm Irish! ^~
Of course, wearing green isn't so much of a consideration when your school uniform is very obtrusively so already, but I was exuding very Irish thought-waves as a substitute.
What's up with moi? Well, I'm very behind in history, sadly. I am pathetically ignorant when it comes to the topic of my history oral (though not for lack of research, any more, just for lack of useful information), which is a bit of a bother given that I have to hand the summary sheet in on Friday. Er. Oops. I've basically written it (the summary sheet, not the oral), and I can safely say it is the most irrelevent POS I have ever spawned. There are two options here: either my oral will be in no way connected to my broadsheet, or my oral will be REALLY REALLY BAD.
Also, my status on the history notes is not so shining. Ah, crap. I was really going to try this year, too.
Just to give a vague indication and add to the joy, next week I have: another IT assignment that shall sap all my time and energy and most particularly my FREES, a japanese writing test, a history oral, and an english in-class thing of fear. And between now and the last week of school (this is week 7- it's a ten week term) I have a Japanese oral, an English oral, a history in-class essay of DOOM because I SUCK at history in-class essays, and a maths test.
No, of course I'm not stressed. Of COURSE not. Ahahahahahahah.
... shit.
Plus after about 6 months or so of being completely certain of what I wanted to do at Uni (one of the few things I was certain of), I've had a crisis of indecision and now I'll never make up my mind, because I am the queen of the indecisive. Aaaaaaargh.
On a completely different note, my body has decided it doesn't like me any more. I mean. I'm not sure if it ever did, really, but it's decided to make its displeasure known, starting from leaving me physically unable to move when I woke up this morning to being completely sapped of energy the entire day. I was seriously considering going to bed at 6:30. Obviously I didn't- though I did have a nap- but that was mostly because a) I had history to do and b) I was horribly certain that I would wake up at 1 am and it'd all just suck.
Anyway. Didn't go to dance today.
On a much happier note, my cousin Lissa borrowed a poem of mine for a composition for school, and got an A. Apparently the teacher said he liked the morbidity of the piece and thought the lyrics were well-chosen. Very proud of her, also quite happy on my own behalf.
Now if you'll excuse me, I am going to go pass out and hope that tomorrow doesn't happen.
... what? I don't mean that in a gothic angst way, I just mean I can't be arsed. Oh, you get my point. I hope. Whatever.
Night.

Date: 2004-03-17 12:56 pm (UTC)Despite all this horror, do you think you'd be up for a bit of Ade-Chidder-Teppic loggage sometime around the weekend? There's that Java IRC chat room where I can log and get the server logs, so it can be rough and ready instead of long and finely-wrought. And it works three-ways. n-ways, really.
