General update.
Apr. 11th, 2004 12:26 amSo, as I'm slugging around as is usual in the holidays, may as well do a general update about what I've been up to. Or... haven't been up to.
Friday, the arrival of the siblings. House is so... full. So like when I was 12, except now I'm 17. Huh. Rohan and I haven't killed each other yet, but rest assured we will get there.
Rohan brought down his PS2 (complete with Kingdom Hearts, just for me) and has been obsessively playing his Rugby Union game. I played a match with him, and let's just say that Japan lost 94-nil to Fiji. I doubt Fiji has ever won by so much. We've also found the first game ever that Dad is intrigued by, which is an Event.
There was an ACTUAL real-life football game that evening, and dad got really grumpy because a) we were parked way away from the stadium in a field and b) Rohan and I kept bickering. WE found it fun. HE got cranky. Which I found kind of amusing.
Victoria came and sat with us, too. Particularly amusing moment:
*Siobhan whining about cold*
*Rohan calls Siobhan pansy, says pansies aren't allowed at the footy*
*Siobhan asks if she's supposed to be acting manly*
Rohan: ... Yes. *grin*
Siobhan: Whee, am manly man. *pause* No, stuff that. *grabs Rohan's hand and uses as handwarmer*
Rohan: Oi! Give my hand back, you sissy!
Victoria: What are you arguing about?
Rohan: Nothing.
Siobhan: We're siblings, we don't need a reason.
Rohan: We don't get much of an opportunity to argue these days, so we do whenever we get the chance.
Siobhan: Exactly.
Dad: *grumble*
Victoria: *snigger*
Also, of course, spammed my writing LJ with all my completed fics.
Today discovered have lost weight. Er, more than I thought. Fit into size 14 clothes, bra is too big even on tightest notch. I usually have it on the loosest, so. Huh. Interesting. Also, went shopping with Rohan. Bought a new memory card and the Best of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers album/DVD set. Encountered Sophie (from history and english) at Dick Smiths, where she was working and where I was getting them to price-match the memory card to that of K-mart. Finished FFII, too. Ending = v. pathetic, but anyway. Huzzah to the sense of accomplishment.
Have also been writing Yuka's birthday fic. VERY late, I might add. But she was in Japan for her birthday so I didn't even get to ask until a month later. And I've had a complete blank plot-wise on it. But now am getting somewhere.
Another thing to note is that my Auntie Marie has mumps and thus will not be coming over for Easter lunch for the first time in my memory. Sigh.
That's it, really. Am such an anti-social slug. Oh well.
... Oh yes, and discovered that Transact has regained Cartoon Network. Which is showing things like Trigun and Orphen. Whaddaya know.
