Charles the Boring
May. 25th, 2004 10:52 pmCharles the Great? HAH. No. He is not Charlemagne but CHARLES THE BORING.
And that is not to say I've researched him yet because, dude. I haven't. Who is screwed for this essay? ME, BABEH!
Why AREN'T there any monarchs called So-and-So the Unremarkable, or the Failure? I think there should be, because lord knows some of them were. I'd be something like Queen Siobhan the Disturbed, I suppose. Though Siobhan is just NOT a regal name. I'm sorry, but no. You need a name like, I don't know, Mary. Anne. Elizabeth.
Snap is probably not complex or creative enough to get me shining marks for my IT, but oh well. I'm not counting IT. This doesn't make me feel particularly comforted about the fact that my Lack Of Motivation is causing me to fail all the subjects I AM counting- hooray for my ever slipping English marks- but it does make me feel vaguely better that I did relatively well on that Japanese test I thought I failed.
Of the bad, though- I think the maths test this week and in Testing Week may make my best mark drop. Why do I say this? Because I suspect my brain has entirely failed to absorb anything from this unit, not to mention the bit where I forgot EVERYTHING from first term. Daaaaaaaaamn.
In other news, I drew another two cards (both up on my Devart account, celestina) like I vowed I would. My comment on them is thus:
Oooooooooh, lens-flare! SHINY.
OMG OMG OOH LIGHTING EFFECT WOW! D'oh, no glow e- oh, hang on, you can change the COLOUR of lighting effect! WOW PRETTEH!
And... yeah. Okay, I'm willing to entertain suggestions about my mental age. ^^;
I need to study Japanese... I need to research Charlemagne...
Meh.

Date: 2004-05-25 10:08 pm (UTC)You're right, why AREN'T there more
sexydashing historical figures? It's so unfair to poor history students.... Perhaps the reason these people became famous was their bitterness about
being uglynot being dashing? Like that song about the guy whose father gave him a girl's name.no subject

Also, at least half the reason is that being inbred stops you from being hot generally, so that's already most the monarchs out of the running...
I mean, dashing. *cough*
