An ode to history sucking.
Jun. 5th, 2004 08:19 pmInspired by
sanguia, the stupidity of history when it comes to naming their monarchs, and the fact that studying history will drive you quite literally mad.
Constantine the Great,
Changed Catholicm’s fate.
Justinian the Great,
Was comparitively late.
Gregory the Great,
Was early Britain’s mate.
And Charles the bloody Great,
I REALLY FUCKING HATE.
They are in chronological order. All other Greats have not been studied. Thank you. *leaves*
ETA: Look what I found in a desperate "check sites I like to avoid history" search!
As far as gameplay is concerned, players take control of one of four Knights of the Round Table--Arthur, Lancelot, Tristren, or Bors. They will also be able to play as Guinevere, who is portrayed as a fierce pagan warrior-princess in the film. Missions, which will be drawn from chapters of the legend, will be able to be played either single-player or cooperatively. King Arthur will also feature both combat on foot and on horseback. *snigger*
Also, does anyone have the answer to "What role did the Barbarians play in the downfall of the Roman Empire?" from that Who Were the Barbarians? sheet? Because I sort of know, but not well enough to write an answer on it.

Date: 2004-06-05 04:46 am (UTC)You know, from A Midsummer Night's Dream? Amazonian princess, captured by the ruler of a 'civilised' kingdom, forced to marry him... what, was the actual Arthurian storyline not good enough or something? Was the emphasis being on the MEN and NOT THE WOMEN bad for business?
*pissed off*

Date: 2004-06-05 04:51 am (UTC)I saw stuff about a movie called Constantine when I was looking up things for history earlier. It's coming out next year. It's got Keanu Reeves in it. I think it really is about Emperor Constantine.
I feel vaguely traumatised...
