I doubt they could just.... swap, after the awakening. Also, would heaven!Fuuma still be Fuuma? Because I doubt he'd need to be possessed in that case.

Kattaiya (2:19:44 AM): I think it would have actually turned out better if Kamui had chosen Earth. Someone who is possessed can't make a choice about their actions, but even though he's borderline enough to be pushed over into Earth if the Seals irritated him too much, I don't think Kamui could ever really be evil. Blast people around a bit, sure, but not torture or kill. He wouldn't wage psychological warfare, either, and I sincerely doubt he'd be able to hurt Fuuma. If any of the Angels even cared they had a Kamui who wasn't trying enough to challenge him, he'd kick their ass. And that would probably piss him off. And... hang on, the vision showed Kamui killing Kotori, though. Even if he did choose Earth, wouldn't he essentially still be the same person and thus not inclined to brutally murder a girl who's almost his sister? Unless he was possessed like Fuuma after all. But he was the one with the choice, so where's the point in that?

People need motivation for their actions, and being possessed is a reason for Fuuma to kill Kotori, but choosing to destroy the world as a rational if sociopathic human being doesn't really explain randomly killing a girl you swore to protect... And how the hell would normal Fuuma know what to do as Kamui?
... X doesn't work with Angel!Kamui. Oo;
