Parents have decided, while reluctantly, to leave me at home. On the basis that I have to grow up SOME time, unpromising as my progress seems to be.
YES.
In other news, I woke up when my mum called me to say she was on her way home and to get ready for work. This was at five to five. Me? *wakes up* Wtf? Why is she calling about- hang on. What's the time? HOLY FUCK! *jumps out of bed*
I don't think I've ever slept that late before. XD Anyway, I didn't get to eat anything before I went, and though I did get some snacks before I went to bed and at a snack at work, er... well, until I had a snack at work the last thing I'd eaten had been at about 5 am. The last SUBSTANTIAL thing I had eaten was at about 8 pm the evening before, and as I didn't get dinner until 9:30 pm...
Um, yeah. That didn't reflect too well upon my petition to stay at home. Nevertheless, I was successful! *cheer*
The reasons I didn't want to go are several:
One, and most important, I HATE "this is the last time you'll ever be here so say goodbye" trips. I really, really do. I went through that with my Grandpa's house at Christmas and I don't think I could stand to go through it again.
Two, I didn't want a long car trip the day before I went back to school.
Three, I didn't want to spend the last days of my holidays sleeping, working and in a place with no access to my friends whatsoever in that order.
Four... I've been really loathe to leave the house this holidays.
I love my winamp skins SO much.
Cori, sorry I wasn't on this afternoon- I did INTEND to be, but as you can tell that kind of didn't happen. ^^;
ETA: ... it's midnight and I have to go to bed now. Like, 7 hours after getting OUT of bed. This is sad. *sigh* Is the compromise to my victory... *woe*
