Today is the best day EVER. ^^
Aug. 7th, 2004 06:34 pmSo today I caught up on my sleep, and then I went out with my daddy to help him pick up the new lawn mower from Fyshwick and we ran into
queencattabby's dad. Then dad dropped me off in Civic, and after recharging my mobile phone credit, I went to the Canberra Centre in search of a florist.
Yes, that's right, a florist. Took me awhile to find one, but I did and then I bought a red rose. Why? CAUSE
amayonolune AND I WERE GOING ON A DATE! *cheers*
So I went back to daddy's office to meet Mari as arranged, and I gave her the rose and she was happy. A bit bewildered, but happy. ^^ (NB, we first started going out March 7th last year and this was our first date ever. Don't say it.)
We went to the Asian Cafe for lunch, which was good, and dropped the leftovers off at daddy's office- he'd come in to do some work whilst we were at the restaurant and I saw his car- and then we went to the Canberra Centre. On the way, we ran into CHRISSIE yay. She was out with her boyfriend Chuckie. *smile* So we wandered around Civic for awhile, checking out bookstores and Socrates and jewellry shops and such, and Mari bought us gelato. *heart* It tasted really good- hers was lemon, mine was raspberry. And I think we got a few funny looks because she still had the rose. *giggle*
Anyway, I bought a loaf of bread for dad (he called on my mobile) and he asked if I was ready to go home but Mari and I still wanted to stay so Mari said her mother had offered to drop me and I told dad that. Then mama rang up to check if I needed a lift soon because she wanted to walk Ebony. *g* Lack of communication! Hee. Then, some time later, Eri rang my mobile- because she'd rung Mari three times and we hadn't heard- to ask where we were and if we were ready to go. Turned out we were about 10 metres away. *snerk* What was really funny was when Eri saw the rose:
Eri: "... you have a flower?"
Mari: *happily* "Yes. I got it."
Eri: *pause* "It's beautiful."
Me: *looks away shiftily*
Mari: *looks at rose self-consciously*
Hee. We so silly. *amused*
Anyway, it was a wonderful date and I'm updating about this because as Mari said, today is special. *heart*
Also it continued to be a good day because mama decided that she wanted to go to Sydney on the weekend before Ceilidh's birthday. I get to stay with my brother, AND I'm missing PE and History not this Friday but the next TO SEE OTHELLO! WHOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO! *grooves wildly*
And I spoke to my brother on the phone. ^^ I love my brother. We're really close, even though we used to fight constantly when he lived at home. He's taking me to see Othello, which is why I rang (to ask), and he also talked to be about university applications.
I know I sound kind of childish in this entry, but I'm just really really happy. ^^; I think I'm going to do some translation now. *happy smile*
