tammaiyaHahahaha Tezuka glows gold. That is so very funny. This is like DBZ, but more entertaining and pretty and cracky and about tennis instead of saving the world.
Is it wrong to feel like the tennis is more meaningful than DBZ? *g* I mean, please. "Oh no! He's dead! I am going to grieve now, completely ignoring the fact that death means NOTHING thanks to dragon balls!"
... *thoughtfully* Now THERE'S an idea for a crossover. Subaru brings Seishirou and Hokuto back with the dragon balls! Even better than a Kamui. XD
Anyway, where was I? Oh yes. The primary reason it reminds me of DBZ is the aspect of:
Opposition: "HAHAHA I AM TEH BEATX0RZ YOU! MY POWER LEVEL IS ABOVE ONE MILLION/I HAVE SUPER TENNIS SKILLZ!"
Protagonist: "Yeah? Well my power level is above TWO million! And I have the ability to go super saiyajin!/Actually I've been holding out on you and I really have super awesome sekrit physics-defying tennis techniques that crush you BAAAAAAD!"
Everyone: "... *GASP*"
Hehe. Heh. But TeniPuri is clearly superior because it is prettier and gayer and crackier. *satisfied nod*
Speaking of the pretty, OMG WHEE. I AM ALMOST DEAD FROM THE CUTE AND HOT OF IT ALL. ALL of Seigaku, man. ALL OF THEM. And Dan-chan is adorable, and Mizuki (when he's in uniform) and, and, Shinji! And Sengoku is pretty too! And Atsushi! <3 OMG and Shishido. SHISHIDO. His hair! I know he's going to have to cut it off soon but GUH.
Golden Pair are so OBVIOUSLY in love. They don't just high-five; they clasp hands and give each other MEANINGFUL LOOKS. Meaningful, I tell you! And MomoRyo is very canon. Eeee. Also, the Fuji and Yuuta flashbacks and angst and brotherly love were so incredibly squee-worthy. Fuji is such a sweet aniki. If, um. Somewhat sadistic.
Penal-Tea so never ceases to be amusing. Bwahahaha. Inui is almost as sadistic as Fuji.
Akutsu is scary-looking as well as just plain scary at first. But he grows on you. Like Kaidou. I think it's the way their eyes are drawn that takes getting used to. *pause* We're talking about appearances here. I love Kaidou with all my heart appearance aside. However, am still COMPLETELY SHIT-SCARED OF AKUTSU WTF THAT BOY IS INSANE. *quakes*
Also, poor Taka-san. Wah.
PS, Mizuki's sense of fashion is both HORRIFYING and BLINDING. I almost thought I'd never see again when he wandered out in that hideous neon purple... thing. With the roses. Oh god. *shudders at the mere memory*
And their funky gravity-and-physics-and-reality-defying special tennis moves are so completely r0x0rity. If they had stuff like that in REAL tennis, it would be SO much better. Really.
Can you tell I've spent an afternoon watching TeniPuri? Hee. Yes. *cough*
Also, Thom and Schu are in the middle of a very cheerful game of "Lie To Me" (which is the coolest game EVER, btw, especially to RP), and that is here.
Have started my IT assignment in a half-hearted effort to not COMPLETELY fail everything. Bullshitted my way through the written proposal at the speed of light. Like a politician in an election campaign, it is filled with many, shall we say, non-core promises.
I didn't exactly say it would bring about world-peace, but nonetheless I set some very unrealistic goals. Particularly when you recall precisely how half-arsed I'm being about assessment this term. *g*
Unfortunately English and History are complete write-offs, as I have yet to write my creative or oral (both due next week) for the first, haven't even taken the notes for- let alone STUDIED for- the history test and haven't chosen a topic for the history oral/reseach-paper that I should probably have started researching. *whistles guiltily*
