The English Oral that ate Manhattan is written! MWAHAHAHAHA. Urgh. At 10 pages long, 5000 words and hopefully 35 minutes, you see why I call it that. *goes to email copies to Cait, Rhi and Mush*
Copy of the script will be up here after we've performed it, for posterity's sake. No, don't give me that look, it's filled with slashy jokes and incest and star wars. Really.
Yes, I did say this was my English oral. Stop laughing.
Weekend in Sydney was good. Got to Animania alone by combination of bus and train without dying, getting lost, etc, so am very impressed by self- this is the first time I've been allowed to wander the Sydney city and public transport system on my own, as mother is Paranoid.
Fun times. Saw the cosplay competitions, but don't know the results yet. Friends all looked pimptacular; am sadly lacking in photos, as camera was out of batteries (oh the irony. I freaked out on the way there since I thought I forgot it; as it turned out, that was utterly irrelevent), but I believe the others do, so.
Funniest bit was when we went out for lunch and a lady asked me if I was trying to give up smoking thanks to my fake cigarette. XD Then on the way back, another group of cosplayers asked us to pose for photos.
We did.
Then some tourists who I think were Korean also asked to take a photo of us. They must think Australians are WEIRD. *giggle*
Was relatively restrained in my spending this time; I restricted myself to two manga, Legal Drug in english and FAKE II (in Japanese, much to Frar's disgust. *g*)
Today slightly less brilliant, as I spent it writing oral, rescuing my whiny-ass dog and surrounded by arguing family members. Oh, whoo hoo. I think I did more work in Sydney in one weekend than I usually do in a fortnight in Canberra. *rolls eyes at self* As for Ebony, she ran down the street. FOUR TIMES. And on the fourth time, she ran in front of a car and almost gave me a heart attack. It made me cry, despite the fact she was okay. ^^; Stupid dog.
On a final note, Ebony is whining again and the song I've got going in the background has lyrics saying "Don't wake me, I plan on sleeping in"...
Why yes. I do. DOUBLE MORNING FREE, BABEH.

I want to see pictures!
And I wanted to say, "Yes! Australians are weird!" in Korean but I only got as far as "Yes." ("Ne.")
'Did you know I missed you?'
Okay, now it's going other places. But still! I feel there must be talk-y when you wake up oh yes.

Date: 2004-10-25 02:28 am (UTC)Animania was GREAT. The downstairs area was filled with merchandise- it was so shiny! Hm, let's see, I'll try to tell you in order. Got there, ran into the others: Anna was Faye Valentine (Cowboy Bebop), Mel was Ruby Moon (Card Captor Sakura), Rhi was Spinel Sun (also CCS), Eugenie was Dark Chi (Chobits) and Liz was Battle Nun (Chrono Crusade). They all looked BRILLIANT and intricate and whoa. We wandered around for a bit, then went for early lunch- which is when the cigarette thing and the photo thing happened, hee- and then went back in time for the Great Debate, which was mildly lame so we went to wander the merchandise a bit more. THEN we went to Kinokuniya, which is obviously a joy unto itself, and I went off to get some Japanese food for lunch. Back in time for the cosplay, though I didn't get to see who won.
There was the CUTEST Subaru, though. He was wearing shikifuku! It was like the most perfect shikifuku ever!
