Nov. 16th, 2004 07:11 pmI am the kind of perverse person who starts studying Japanese AFTER their test.
Though to be fair I actually started typing up my grammar this morning and wanted to finish- it IS something that has a practical use in my everyday life, and I AM doing it at uni next year.
However 7 typed pages of grammar later, I'm sick of typing grammar. (I'm not just giving up because the notes are ambiguous about the usage of と as a natural/inevitable cause-and-effect particle. Don't be silly. *shifty look*) So I'll finish it later when I'm in the mood.
The new Zelda game is kind of... bizarre. Almost everything- Hyrule Town, Hyrule Castle, Zelda, Link, etc- looks the same as it did in Ocarina of Time, only in gameboy graphics, but it's not set in the same... universe? Whatever. Also it's got strange stuff like a talking cap in it. Yeah. And shrinking and growing- it's Alice in Wonderland! *g*
I sometimes question why I love Zelda so much when playing it reminds me exactly how much it makes me want to gnaw upon my own liver out of frustration.
Only one exam left, and I never study for English anyway. Yay.
ETA: I didn't realise I forgot to update yesterday. Anyway, Maths and Jap tests were notable by the fact that I almost ran out of time in both of them. I wrote the asa (morning) kanji wrong in the Jap, and I remembered when I was walking home that there was a specific grammatical structure I could have used for my last sentence (which was somewhat rushed, very long, very awkward and probably very incorrect). It was not the crappiest piece of crap I have ever written; however, it was quite possibly the most IRRELEVENT, at least in Japanese. (I might have written more irrelevent things in history, on reflection.)
Also, in a further attempt to use up printing credit, I printed off everything I've written on my angels thing, including side stories, extracts from later on in the story and unfinished bits. It was somewhere between 150-200 pages. I have this HUGE STACK OF PAPER, and it even LOOKS like I'm trying to write a book, so now I feel all productive and happy-smug. ^^;
