Nov. 20th, 2004 11:30 pmWhat I said about writing groove back?
Disregard. *languishes in her own lack of productivity*
Went shopping for formal and grad dinner stuff today. Emerged with a pair of shoes, clothes for grad, two pairs of earrings, a bangle and lipstick and really, I just don't want to know how much money my mother spent, because I think we're talking somewhere upwards of $700. oo;
Chrono Cross is so shiny. Mmmmm. Shiny. Although would someone please explain to me why Kid has been translated as having an exaggerated Aussie accent? Please? No, really! She keeps saying bloody hell and calling people mate and she said struth once. *weirded out*
Now, meme time!
My journal is called "Past the point of no return" for two reasons: one, it's the name of a song from the phantom of the opera and I really like that song. Two, and more relevently, it is supposed to indicate that I'm so far beyond normal that there's no going back.
My subtitle is "2 lefts and a wrong turn from easy street" because... erm, actually, I don't know. It just popped into my head when I was choosing a subtitle and because spontaneity and I are friends and I couldn't think of anything better, I decided to go with it. (You'd probably all be a bit concerned if you knew precisely how much my life is dictated by random whims. For example- my writing? Maybe one third planning, two thirds random babble. *shifty look*)
My friends page is called "Friends are like slinkies: you laugh when they fall down the stairs" because it is relevent and also I am perversely amused by the schadenfreud of this. Don't worry, I wouldn't REALLY laugh if you fell down the stairs. Well, not if you hurt yourself, anyway.
My lj user name, Tammaiya, was originally a name I made up for a character in an original work years ago I'd really rather forget about, along with the names Celestina and Kattaiya. However, as much as I want to forget about the story itself, I like the names- and they have the added bonus that at least one of them will be available on any username choosing website.
My default userpic is... well, this one *points up* because I've been going back through my CLAMP obsession phase recently, CLAMP is so on crack and if they can produce that level of pretty and insane and GAY I want in.
My name is listed as Celestina: Grand Purveyor of Crack because lots of people on my f-list originally knew me as Celestina for various reasons pre-LJ and because I don't like my real name that much. (Well, for one thing half the world can't pronounce it. XD)
And then, gacked from Frar:
If there is any question you would like to ask me about any one of my fics, then go ahead! What I meant by a particular line, why I chose that characterisation, what I was listening to as I wrote, what crack I was taking and where you can get some ... anything. Anything you might like to know about how I wrote a fic, I shall do my best to answer.

Date: 2004-11-20 04:54 am (UTC)Okay, yes. I admit it. I spent a lot of time salivating over the angel dictionary and the encylopaedia of gods (both of which in the school library, though the former practically belonged to me for a year), then I spent a lot of time having far too much fun drawing, especially if you include every time I've changed my mind and upgraded their appearance.
Nothing tops how much time I've spent mapping out character interaction, plot and pyschological problems though. *g*

Date: 2004-11-20 11:10 pm (UTC)Why did you decide to make practically all of them has Issues and and long millions of years of angst? And so many of them?
Ok, that's really two questions. Hush. *grins*

Date: 2004-11-20 11:15 pm (UTC)As for the angst: because the plot, as it were, revolves around character interaction rather than events, it therefore has to focus on some form of conflict, otherwise nothing would happen. Also, a lot of the problems are interleaved, an event causing angst and issues in a number of characters all in one blow.
Also because I think there is a certain amount of stagnation you'd get if you lived for eternity that wouldn't let you escape angst-free. Just assume that if there are relatively happy angels? I'm not focussing on them. Or something.
Ask as many questions as you like, anyway.

Date: 2004-11-20 11:20 pm (UTC)How did you choose the pairings? I myself found in my knights that some were just canonically screaming 'SLASH US!' and others jsut kinda clicked when I fiddled around with their personalities...was it similar with you?

Date: 2004-11-20 11:28 pm (UTC)I did have a problem when I started writing and certain characters decided they wanted to end up together, though. *glares at Raph and Bel* That's all sorted out now, however. Yay me.
