You know, alcohol and easter eggs don't really go that well together. cause like, not only does the chocolate make you feel kind of sick when you're drunk, you can't even get the foil off probably. this annoyed me because I'm very anally retentive about getting the foil off in one piece but it gets shredded all to pieces and that is SO not cool.

In other news I am just about finished volume 16 of Naruto. SasuNaru! so canon! Poor sasuke. and stuff. hee hee.

Also reading more Mirage of Blaze. Why does whassername use so many obscure words that aren't in my computer dictionary? stupidness. Haha. Wow I'm so dizzy.

I should start my Foundations of Australian Law assignment. Only not now because could you imagine me writing up a legal problem drunk? it'd be like, "this is negligent battery. and the elements are something. From this case. thing. Which case? I do not know. it's in the textbook, though."

... maybe later. At least I've already done my linguistics assignment.

And yes, I did just spend about 10 minutes fixing typos.

So, anyway. Gaara/Sakura seems mainly to stem from silly het fangirls who think that a)Because Gaara went into crazy flashback mode and remembered his uncle who tried to assassinate him (because his uncle looked like Sakura, if you'll remember correctly- man, what a girlyman) he'd have some sort of pre-concieved affection for her. (however wrong and crackful that may be) and b)Sakura would be all sweet and lovely and try to save Gaara from his terrible sadness with her kind soul and he would be saved too, because she's just so kind and pretty.

Gaara/Sakura hurts my soul. The only thing that hurts it worse is Gaanaru. XO

I firmly stand by my moniker: Gaara is asexual, dammit.

Temari and Gaara sort of work. But only in a friendship way. Not in a relationship way. If that makes any sense whatsoever.

Also, knowing now that there is no subtextual KakaIru I will abandon that ship. Although I am still amused by the Naruto-parents!idea. That might just be the alcohol talking though. ^^;

It makes me go WTF to the people of the Hidden Sand, really. WTF GUYS. All of the various deaths of people by crazy!Gaara over the years could have been avoided if you'd only snuggled him more as a child. ;_; All he wanted was to be loved.

A whole village of jerks. And the way Yashimaru pretended to love him, that was just... that was just really low. I mean, it was like the ULTIMATE betrayal, especially since it proved that Gaara could be contained if he was given affection.

It did make me cry. Not as bad as the Haku/Zabuza part, but I was in tears. Gaaaarrraaaa... ;_; I feel his pain! Such my favorite Naruto character, EVER.

The Haku/Zabuza thing just plain HURT. Ow ow ow. Shounen manga isn't meant to be this much of an emotional rollercoaster!

Yes, but all manga is changing now. It's like Japan is finally starting to realize that girls do like asskicking, and likewise- boys like emotional scenes once in a while. It's not like it has to be one extreme or the other. Shounen is no longer the same as it once was, and shoujo isn't either.

Yeah, that's very true. There's also been a shift in drawing styles- not all shounen manga has a masculine style (eg DBZ) anymore. I think it's a good change not to distinguish boy-manga and girl-manga like that.
