And I hate to smash your bubble, or mine, but I downloaded the scanlations from Directmanga.com, and that sentence was translated very differently, with less sentimental feelings.

Tsubasa Chapter 49, p.404, or p10 in the chapter:

Desperate, just desperate.

Did you see the TRC anime, or maybe it was in the manga too and I just forgot. There was a person floating a giant jar thingie, slender and definitely male, but they didn't show the face. It was with the "bad guys". Remember how TRC!Seishirou speak of twins that can travel through dimensions? From the way Sei-chan speaks of them so far, it seems that like TB/X, Subaru is the powerful one, and therefore I assume he's the one who can travel the dimensions. Now, the "bad guys" are looking for the power of "time and space", and they keep refering to this player, the male sleeping in the jar/tube thingie, as someone with a power, but isn't time for him yet. What if, that person, is Subaru?

Maybe the "bad guys" managed to capture the powerful vampire and onmyouji, I mean if the ringleader in question is related to Clow, he's probably pretty powerful, I doubt X!Subaru was any match for Clow, had Clow still lived, so it reasons that he could be captured.

What happened to Hokuto? If Subaru can change his appearance, can she? Is she the lady in the black short dress who is already there? Is she already dead? Elsewhere?

But the person in the jar REALLY looks like Nataku to me. Same body shape and hair and things. I could be off, but that's my feeling.
