AAAAH THIS FIC NEVER ENDS. I've been writing it for about 3 weeks now! It's 8500 words and there is NO END IN SIGHT. I don't like writing such long fics when I first get into a fandom, I don't feel like I have a strong enough grasp on the characterisation. *frets!* FMA THIS IS YOUR FAULT.

In other news I am now behind in my copious law reading (and in fact my copious Japanese linguistics reading), which is why I haven't updated in donkey's years, because it would inevitably have gone along the lines of, "whine whine bitch moan my life is pain my degree is for crazy people WAH!", not to say that I don't like my crazy people degree, but that would have been boring.

Not that this entry isn't whine whine bitch moan ANYWAY, but hopefully me spazzing about a fic has slightly more schardenfreud entertainment value than me complaining about how much uni work I have. XD

I adore the dynamic between RoyHughes, but I tend to see it as a brother thing. Mostly because of how crazy Hughes is over his family. XD But that's not to say I don't like RoyHughes, so really it's all good. ^^

We all identify with the characters, that's why. Mari is short (*takes joy in the fact that Mari's not here to get annoyed*) and a really protective self-sacrificing older sibling, and Yuka is more sensible than Mari and I put together. XD

I had to look up what schadenfreude means on Google, and found that it's 'the malicious pleasure one feels at someone else's misfortune' (and an excellent word it is, I'll have to remember that one).

Whoa, FMA is cruel, making you write when you don't think you know the series well enough. (*shiver*) Does the pull of that fandom know no limit? Also, I don't believe I've mentioned yet that I love your Roy icon. Well, I love your Roy icon.

Complaining about gigantic workloads is something that almost everyone does at least once, so anyone who can somehow resist that practically deserves a medal. Good luck with your readings! (That reminds me, I have many many things I must read, aargh, got to go now.)

Schardenfreud is a VERY excellent word, because it's like the step below sadism. You don't necessarily enjoy inflicting pain, but you like laughing at the misfortune others happen to go through. *g*

It is cruel, so cruel! Although writing Ed!rants is fun like nothing else, for the "WHO ARE YOU CALLING SO SHORT--" bits particularly.

And yay, thank you! My Roy icon comes in very handy, what with all the procrastinating I do. XD

As for the complaining about work... well, I've done it before, and I've also inflicted it on people over IM and in real life, so I figured there had to be a limit. Otherwise every entry I wrote would be "ZOMG MY LIFE IS PAIN READING WOE!" *sheepish grin*
