1. A structural or behavioral characteristic peculiar to an individual or group.
2. A physiological or temperamental peculiarity.
3. An unusual individual reaction to food or a drug.
List five of your own idiosyncrasies and then tag five friends to do the same.
1. I am nocturnal in a very bad way. I am more likely to be wide awake at 4am than at 11am. This is not just a behavioural pattern I've gotten myself into; according to my mother, I've been like this ever since I was born.
2. I can't do anything unless I don't feel boxed in. By which I mean if I feel like I don't have large stretches of time in which I don't have to do anything (like the summer holidays) I get stressed and upset and can't do anything at all, thereby wasting the time I DO have.
3. Similarly, I have very specific conditions under which I can work. I hate daylight. I hate other people being around. I hate noise that is not my own music. I hate this room. I hate not having someone else to bounce ideas off or something else to direct my attention to while I work, because I have a very short attention span. Obviously, it is very rarely that all my whims are satisfied. XD But usually it means the time I work the best is maybe around 2 am, when my parents have gone to bed and the tv is off and it's dark, supposing that someone is online for me to talk to.
4. Nothing inspires me to write like music. I will quite happily put on the same song for 5 or so hours while I write something. Songs I feel particularly strongly about will almost ALWAYS make me feel like writing, especially if I associate them with a particular character/fandom/emotion.
5. On a completely different note, I am afraid that I am allergic to my insulin. Possibly I am imagining this. However, it seems to be making me dizzy, nauseus and, especially with the higher doses, making my heart pound. Which isn't painful, but is uncomfortable. Unfortunately, my choice is between insulin and dying. So if I'm allergic, that's just too bad.
I could probably come up with a lot more, about my eating habits and my game-playing habits among other things, but that's the full five, so I won't. ^~

I am still writing both fics from yesterday's post, and my uni work is still suffering. I went to see Charlie And The Chocolate Factory with Victoria today; Johnny Depp is, as always, love. Spent the last hour or so watching an Australian movie called Strange Bedfellows, which involved two guys in a country town in Victoria attempting to defraud the tax office by pretending to be a gay couple. Yackadandee? It's a real town, I just don't know how to spell it. Dad reminded me of when we went on a road trip through Victoria, about 4 years ago. There were signs pointing to it all over the place-- all roads lead to Yackadandee. XD
Anyway, it was quite a funny movie.
Finally, happy birthday,
etrangere!
