Well, the second parts were from various different sentences. (c) was part of "if I forgot my homework, I would..." XD So technically it's "I would lie and tell the teacher the dog ate IT", but because of the lack of subject, in the context of the sentence it reads:

"If I saw my friend looking down, I'd lie and tell my teacher the dog ate him/her."

Nah, not really. I just get bored doing the online quizzes for Japanese, because they're fairly easy and fairly time-consuming. And I just thought some of the answers they offered for that question were amusing. ^^;
