Oct. 13th, 2005 08:11 pmToday is one of those "low-grade crap" days. Got up for my one class-- 11 am Japanese tute-- at 9.30-ish, had breakfast, decided "buggre alle this for a larke", told mum would catch bus to a later tute, went back to bed.
Sugar at this point was 6 point something.
Got out of bed again at about 12.30. Sugar was 1.8. For those of you who don't know BGL mmol measurements: that's REALLY FREAKING LOW. So I went "buggre uni generally!" because it takes an hour to get there and an hour to get back by bus, and that's travelling time twice the actual tute time. Plus I had work tonight (and that is in fact where I am), plus I don't learn anything in Japanese tutes.
The flipside to this being that they mark attendance and tute sheets, but at least I've been to all the others this semester.
Anyway, I only just got above hypo-level then. By eating cake. Uh, yay?
Actually, today isn't so crap. I was cranky earlier because my fingers stung from guitar strings and work was busy and files kept going missing (and the blood sugar thing), but it's quieted down now and it's not actually THAT bad. And on the bright side, my guitar is retuned and I can still play it! :D
Seriously, it's been so long that when I tuned it I accidentally tuned one of the strings to the wrong note because it was CLOSER to that note. <<
Now, for dinner!
Oh, to any interested parties, Yellow has in fact been licensed, so the other three volumes (1,3,4) that I haven't scanlated will eventually be available, for what it's worth.
Maybe I'll try to get a doctor's certificate for the hypo/tute today... <-- advantage to working at doctor's office!
ETA: Oh GOOD, medical certificate. That makes things a little easier. (Doses also adjusted.)
