Life hates me. I am miserable. Horribly, horribly miserable.

Because I'm sick and my ears and eyes and especially THROAT won't stop hurting. Uuuuuuuuurgh. *feels sorry for herself*

Also, the extensions started today. Loud banging noises. Smells of petrol. Demolished deck. Thoroughly bemused poodle. Woken up at 7.30 am, when I couldn't get to sleep in the first place.

Don't remember if I bitched about the LJE essay or not, but I got a 68 and a complete non-comment which said, in not much longer wording than this, "very well written, good examples, covered a lot. Perhaps if it had been more confined it would have been stronger."

Yes, well. I'll add at this point that the topic was "Lawyers: Heroes Or Villains"; nothing more. I get the feeling that the lecturer (who is also my seminar leader, and thus marked it) had something very specific in mind, not conveyed by said topic. As much as I would like to be, I am not in fact a mind reader.

And that comment really does not explain where I went wrong. Just as well I don't care about that subject.

(Still, I can't help be annoyed, especially since I know I'm probably going to sod up the exam. From lack of study, because contracts is more important. *cough*)

Had fun sleeping over at Mari's on Saturday, got to see Mari and sis. I showed them the end of Tactics, and we watched the FMA movie. There were some things I liked, but overall I'm less than impressed, and not just at the dodgy quality of the camcord. It just didn't have the same moving emotional quality as the series did; the general consensus from the three of us was that it had gone too far back in the "shounen" direction. Sis and I got bored with the fighting. And don't get me wrong, I'm all for fighting-- it may have been connected to the dodgy quality, harder to get drawn in-- but it needs to be broken up by more emotion. I don't know, I'm too sick and icky feeling to make sense.

And on Sunday I went to see Howl's Moving Castle with Auntie Marie. Had seen it already on dvd-- dodgy camcord, of course, though quite good quality so far as dodgy camcords go-- but that was the Japanese version. Really liked Billy Crystal as Calcifer and Christian Bale as Howl, as well as the two people doing young/old Sophie. They all suited the characters and were a good crossover from the Japanese, plus Howl so HOT mm.

This Halloween game is great fun: http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/promos/200510_unicef/game/index.html

I keep forgetting that it's Halloween soon. It's just not a big thing in Australia. When is it, again? The 28th?

Into Part II of CCS!X, nearing 12K words. Begin to worry about how much longer it will get. If there's as many parts as I THINK there could be, I've got a real problem on my hands. <<

Having 2+ hypos per day. Suspect I should be doing something about this. Also suspect that I should be working on my contracts summaries-- am nearing the end of Formation-- only I feel crap and I don't WANNA.

Hm, fingers shaking. Wonder if this means hypo? I'll check. Soon-ish.

*plays around with guitar*

About that vid with crossdressing!Sugita-- Mari's going to burn it for me, I'll upload it when I get it.

Sorry for being so HIDEOUSLY behind on LJ comments, I swear I'll catch them up soon.

Also, Chifley Library is out to GET me. I couldn't find a single book that I was looking for when I was researching my topic today. Note that I've already done most of my research on the net so it's not a MAJOR crisis, BUT. What the hell is up with that? I'd be like, looking for PE1701.S5, and I'd find PE1000 and then it'd jump straight to PE2001. WHAT.

When I finally do manage to find those books, it will be an Experience. The last time I did proper research was year 12 history. *marvels*

Shivs. Honey. I'm no expert, but I don't think two hypos per day is NORMAL. Take care of yourself, please?

*frets*

What day is your final exam, by the way? Aaaaaand - do you want to do NaNo in January with Ji and I, for much mutual support and hyterical chatting on AIM until 4am?

No, it's not. But honestly I prefer it to excessive highs, because there are no long term effects to hypos. *sigh* I'll fix it up soonish, I'm gradually dropping the doses.

Final exaaaam... uh... 18th November. But it's Japanese. So the last one I have to STUDY for is 12th November.

I would join you guys in your NaNo insanity but for Christmas fics. Although they'll reach the word limit for a NaNo, so I'm willing to do the crazy with you just doing Christmas fics instead! :D (Alternatively, CCS!X. Though you're not supposed to have already started, BUT ANYWAY.)

I leave for Queensland on the 19th, but if you don't have to study past the 12th...*grins* FMA marathon?

Well, they'll all be finished by January, won't they?

:D?

January? Isn't it No-- oh, yeah, we usually change it to suit ourselves. XD

Well, okay. I'll see, then, I may write the sequel to That AU, or do stuff on Angels, or something. Not sure if That Au The Second would be long enough, but it'd still have to be pretty long.

Yes, yes! Marathon sounds good! It's IN Japanese, good enough! :D And... QLD? I thought you weren't going anywhere over-- oh, summer classes wouldn't start yet. Of course. When will you be back?

I did SAY we were doing it in January, silly *points up*

Work on Angels! I'm probably going to try and finish Quindlemire and then go back and edit it furiously over February, so by the end of the holidays I'll have a complete novel :D

Going to Qld for the 19th-26th November, and then staying here for the rest of the summer to do my Advanced Studied Course and generally bum around.

Ergh. Xmas fic. I think I'm going to try and do my GO prequel for Xmas, once Sophie's crossover is finished...

I'm siiiiiiiiiick. *whines and uses as flimsy excuse*

Okay, will do! Alleviating the guilt I currently feel every time I listen to my music! *g*

Cool beans. *makes mental note*

The grand thing about Quindlemire is that by now I've been working on it for so long that I a) know the characters so well I can write them on autopilot, and b) don't care how rough and shoddy it gets, as long as it gets FINISHED. I can edit afterwards.

AHAHAHA. I am wondering who the hell I can persuade to beta a whole novel.

Ha. Ha. Ha.

Similar here yes. Although I've already duped people into agreeing to beta at least parts of it, and I love them all for it. :D

Well, no. You were just there from way back ages ago. <3 Before it got all monster sized. Though we did know it was going to eventually.

Yes. Yes, we rather did. The amount of documents I have on my computer relating to this story is stunning.

It is, rather. You should see my folder for it. "Scary" is the word, I believe.

Though, uh, there are more documents in the X/TB folder, but at least that's because there's a lot of different FICS.

Quindlemire is TWO documents. Surely that is a record. It is, however, also a huge pile of handwritten character notes and plotty dotpoints that I should type up.

Hah, yes. Most of it I keep in my head but at a certain point you get paranoid of forgetting. Or of losing the little notes, which I do have strewn about the place. A lot of the documents in the Angels folder are actually IM conversations. XD

English!Howl's Moving Castle is great; it's every bit as enjoyable as the original Japanese ^^ shall definitely get bilingual version on DVD.

Essay thing: broad essay stubjects deserve to be whacked with a mallet. More seriously, though, I've found that broad essay topics usually means the lecturer is either a) too lazy or b) wants to see who comes up with the neatest way of attacking the question and doesn't give him something boring to read.

Yes, I may also. :D

RE: Lecturer; suspect the latter. One of my friends who had an interesting-sounding take on it got 50, in the same seminar as me. Plus, the lack of comments and how late we got the papers back-- I handed this in at the end of last term-- suggest laziness. -_-;

XD I adore that game so much. I play it every Halloween to get myself in the spirit. And Halloween is on the 31 over here, so I'm assuming there too? I haven't been so big on the holiday for a couple of years, but now that I live in a college town, everyone dresses up and wanders up and down the main drag of the city. It's a lot of fun. ^^

Anyway, take care of yourself. ♥

Oh, yeah, last day of October. *I* remember now. XD Last and only time I did anything for Halloween was when I went trick-or-treating when I was 4 years old with my brother and sister.

Thank you. *snuggles*
