I never knew the Canberra accent was so popular. Definitely a good thing! It's infinitely preferable to have people think your voice is sexy than silly-sounding. *giggle* Are you going to do a phone post, Shi? I'd love to hear your voice too! ^^
I bet your voice isn't horrible! People generally think that their own is, even if other people like it. But I can understand what you mean about the phone, especially the parents thinking you're crazy bit. XD Mine weren't home, plus we have a cordless phone.
Heeeeeeee, thanks. <3 I listened to your voice post earlier! I confirm that I like the Californian accent. It's very soft. That's the second time I've heard it so now I know it wasn't just schiarire.
Eeeeeee, thank you! I was responding to this right when the power went out and I lost my comment. *weep*
You're doing an Australian accent for actor's voice class? What do you have to do, and does it matter which region? Because I wouldn't have a problem doing more voice posts if you think it'd help. :D
Well, we do all sort of accents. We haven't gotten to Australian yet, but last year my Australian sucked. About all I could say was "G'day mate." But everyone can say that. *snicker* So yeah. As to regions... uh? No idea. Make more voice posts anyway!
Hee, okay. XD I think one of my friends at one point wants to do a poetry meme-- read your favourite poem out on a voice post. I'll probably do that sooner or later. *g*
oooh, I want to hear, I want to hear!! but I'm at job now T_T Must wait until I get home ;D (and no, you can't delete the post because I emailed the mp3 to myself yet *laughs*)
YEP! (and sorry for not having told before) you have a too cute voice and accent... I must admit I had troubles getting most of the speech but you were laughing so @_@;; About accents, I still think that the most easy to undertand is the british one and, for lack of use into hearing it, the most difficult is yours ^_~ (I never speak english so don't even try to imagine how bad my pronunciation could be XDDDD)

Hee, thank you. I can see why an Australian accent would be harder to understand if you hadn't heard it much, especially with my laughing- we shorten and drop a lot of vowels compared to most English and American dialects. XD
I'd love to hear you speak Spanish! Hell, I wouldn't understand more than maybe one or two words, but it's such a pretty language.
I can't really detect your Aussie accent too well. I have obviously been in the Southern Hemisphere for too long. ^^; I lie: it's not possible to be in the Southern Hemisphere for too long. Well, unless the whole place erupts into a volcano sometime. That'd do it.
I'm originally from England, though that was a long time ago. Still got my accent, though, which means I keep getting asked if I'm an exchange student.
The U of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia. I think the sudden influx of exchange students from Canberra might just be my literature seminar, but it's still funny that I've learned to recognize the accent. *g*
