So anyway, I can't decide if the 1.6 hypo is a lesson to drop my doses before work, to not eat sandwiches before work, or to not eat late lunch before work. Possibly a combination of all three. Possibly the hypo wasn't actually that low, because it didn't FEEL that low. *suspicious*

It's so hooooooot. *fans self* And there keep being big nasty storms so it's HUMID too. Not that I'm complaining about the storms, really, because rain is good. Just the humidity and the blackouts kind of suck. <<

On the x-mas fic front, currently writing at a rate of one-per-day. It's like the battle of extreme moodiness and self-discipline; I'm forcing myself to finish a fic every day even if I don't feel like writing and it's hard and even if it takes me until 5am and I want to sleep, which is a triumph of self-discipline, but because of my moodiness about writing conditions I don't START until like 1am. Hence it taking until 5. XD

Current count-- 15 down, 12 to go, cumulative word count around... 42K? something like that.

Last patient just went in! Whoo hoo! I can go home soon. How excellent.

On a side note, whose bright idea was it to cancel this week's new episode of House for music awards? pffft.

ETA: Forgot to squee about what my parents and I have decided on as my birthday/christmas present! It is a completely utterly KICK ASS computer, the contribution to which will make me INCREDIBLY BROKE, but here, specs:

  • Pentium 4 3.0GHz processor
  • 1024MB RAM
  • i915 all-in-one motherboard
  • Gigabit LAN
  • Creative SoundBlaster 24bit 7.1 sound card
  • 16x DVD-RW
  • 160GB harddrive
  • 17" LCD flatscreen monitor
  • Norton Internet Security
  • Windows XP Pro
  • Installation of existing hardware (dvd-rw and 200gb harddrive)

SO MUCH RAM. SO MUCH HARDDRIVE. SO MUCH KICKASS. *glee* (And so much broke. Dammit. But... eeeeeee.)

Also, the last patient just left, so after the doctor makes a few phonecalls I'm done! Whoo!

That computer is FTW, but you'll need a video card to get any decent game playage :(

It's integrated into the motherboard-- from what I checked out it's a pretty good video card. :D

I know it's integrated, but I guarantee you won't be able to play games as advanced as The Sims 2 without a seperate video card...

Even then, I never play PC games anymore thanks to my <3 for consoles :3

I have to admit, me too, pretty much. XD I would like the capacity for things, but the most high-tech I usually use my computer for is playing dvds and GBA games. *shrug*

I looked up the all-in-one motherboard, and apparently it's a really high-powered video card! Really really good. Haha, excellent. *bounce*

ummm, I did a bit of research, that motherboard comes with PCI-express, that is good, very good, becasue there is shortness of AGP cards nowadays (they want us to buy the new pci-e ones and that means change the mother board *bleh*), but you still must plug an external card there, the 'integrated' one might not be enough :-/ >>>>>>;;;;;;

Hm, actually, I'm glad you can plug an external video card in because that gives it some measure of upgradability. Plus, I THINK the external card would only be necessary for the more high-powered graphics, though I'm not sure. I'll guess I'll find out. ^^

yuuuuup, you can always plug another card there :D and sometimes even 2 (especific model allows 2 cards to increase power) and yupes again for the high powered graphics games ;D you only need to have free slots on the mother board.
