AHAHAHAHAHA AM BRILLIANT. Am SUPERWOMAN! Bedroom boxed! Still awake enough to finish tonight's fic! Speaking of which, what does it say about me (and the fic) that I am writing an S&S fic to Cherry Lips? Um. Also, earlier I spent ages looking up Japanese contract law for this minor throwaway line. This is both impressively procrastinatory and PATHETICALLY GEEKTASTIC, combining my geeky love for law, japanese and fic! :D

I wish someone would come online, this fic is too wtf for me alone. *cries with laughter*

And now, some reviews. I haven't done this in so very long. But randomly I feel like it! Perhaps I will continue to do so from now on! (Yes, I'm procrastinating again. stfu. XD)

Why am I not surprised that House gambles on horses? I mean, he gambles on patient's lives, so it only makes sense, or something.

Anyway, everyone knows I'm in it for the character interaction (hell, I'm in EVERYTHING for the character interaction, practically), so on to that. I was iffy about the Foreman-as-House's-boss plotline as introduced at the end of last episode, and there were things I'm still not sure about from this episode, like Cuddy offering him the job permanently (although she did revoke that offer when he screwed up *g*) but overall I'm liking how they're handling it so far. House has moments of frustration, but he still ends up coming out on top and making Foreman's life hell. *snigger* So many great moments related to that. Making Foreman do his paperwork! Ordering MRIs for the whole maternity ward! And brilliant House-like lines about making Foreman his bitch. Of course, Foreman's comment about how he likes his coffee was a good pot-shot at House. They so snarky. Plus, can't go past House calling Foreman "Blackpoleon Blackapart". *g*

Chase wasn't in the episode much, though I loved his conversation with Cameron and his sulky comment to House that he'd be mean no matter what Chase did. XD Cuddy also wasn't really in it, although what she said about how House saves patients with his crazy disregard for the rules was cool.

Cameron... as so often recently, she annoyed me and amused me simultaneously. I mean, her continuous complaints about not being put in charge were both funny and "oh my god, get OVER yourself" (and god love House's response to her asking about what her leadership skills are like-- "Nonexistant. Otherwise, excellent!"). I mean, I can kind of see her point, because she HAS been there longer than Foreman, but still. And also, she was a complete bitch to the patient. Who kind of deserved it. But jeez, NASTY.

As for Wilson, he wasn't in the episode much either. Interesting scene where Foreman tried to go to Wilson for advice on what to do about House, because ouch, that's a really compromising position for poor Wilson. I wonder if he broke Foreman's confidence and told House about the conversation. I mean, it's hard to tell with Wilson; he do almost anything for House, but on the other hand, he always tells his wives when he cheats on them (Spin, 2x06) so he probably values... well, not honesty, he lies so well he can make even House believe him, which we saw in the very first episode. But trust, maybe. On the other hand, House would feel pretty betrayed if Wilson kept something like that back, and would Wilson really want to risk their friendship? I thought Wilson would tell, and I might have inferred that except for the last scene where he's saying to House that House wouldn't be having so much fun if Foreman was his boss PERMANENTLY in this kind of guilty hint-dropping way while House doesn't seem to think there's any possibility. Judging by that scene, chances are Wilson HASN'T told.

On a side note, minor though it was, that bit where House made Wilson pay for his tic tacs was the cutest thing ever. XD

Finally, the ending scene; "People can change," says House, and we follow this up with Munchousen chick going to another doctor and House downing Vicodin at the TAB place. (2 addictions for the price of one!) There's really only one thing to say to this: OUCH. Thank you for our weekly dose of BLEAK OUTLOOK ON HUMAN NATURE, House! ;;

The reason this is largely unspecific and not quote-filled is that I actually watched the episode yesterday, by the way.

Just downloaded XXXHOLiC c94 but I'm tired and temporarily Japanesed-out. Seriously, between Tales of Phantasia and all my manga and that research on KHII, you can hardly blame me. Plus I need to finish this wtf-inducing fic before I keel over, as it is 4.20am at the moment and it'll probably take another 2 hours. So, more on XXXHOLiC later.

... on a final note, OMFG WHY IS IT SO HOT.

Eee, thanks! <3 I was missing hearing from you, in your being swallowed by assessment! When you have a life again, actually, would you mind betaing a Tactics fic for me? First time I've written that fandom. Am PARANOID.

(Actually, with all the X-mas fics, I think there's a total of 8 S&S, which is pretty indicative of where I met most of my f-list. *g*)

... and LJ eats this comment for the SECOND time. I think it wants me to give up. ~_~;

Anyway, am eternally grateful, and Monday night is fine. <3 I won't be finished the last Christmas fic by then even if I stay on track and write one a day, so in my procrastinatory world that's heeeeeeaps of time to spare. *g*

I have to say I'm looking forward to unlocking them, too. It's like, my favourite part of Christmas, for the past 3 years! That's, uh, if I get them done this year. There are 27 total, and I'm on the 21st right now.

It was a smart plan, yeah. Am also looking forward to next week's House-- my complete obsession phase has passed (I always go through them XD) but I still adore it muchly.

It's RAINING S&S. When I'm done there'll be 8 new ones for Christmas, I think. *g*
