We went to buy my textbooks from the uni bookshop today, and they had a copy of The Lost Sex Scenes of Jane Austen which is ACTUALLY FOR REAL and includes all these letters and manuscripts which have been verified by a leading Austen expert and. Omg.

The first section is Pride & Prejudice and the first SCENE (there are three, I've only just started it instead of doing my Criminal Law reading XD) is Miss Bingley and Mrs Hurst deciding they need to test Jane's "suitability" as a wife for their brother. In, you know, the sexual way.

IT INCLUDES THE LINE "Now finding herself quite nude, Jane was most seriously vexed."

and also, "[...] when she perceived a different warmth , arising from a location on her body below, and from a different sort of hand; the hand it seemed, of Miss Bingley-- or was it Mrs Hurst?
