Feb. 16th, 2006 10:34 pmThree months of holidays has, apparently, made me STUPID.
Either that, or I was always stupid.
Or maybe, just maybe, it's not me. Maybe, it's this textbook. MAYBE LEGAL THEORY IS JUST BULLSHIT.
Actually, going by what my brother says, legal theory really is just bullshit. I have to read 150 pages of it as it pertains to the criminal law before next wednesday; if it would not just depress me worse, I'd probably remind myself that that's NOTHING to doing a whole semester of it in the second half of the year.
Anyway.
Tonight at work I had my Crim text and fic Mari wrote printed out. I felt fairly safe doing this because the fic was in Japanese. It also meant people assumed I was studying Japanese and law simultaneously, which I let them believe because... uh, like I was going to CORRECT them. *giggle*
Um, what else. I went to uni to get my books yesterday and only came back with Crim because APL text = brand new edition and they don't have it yet and Japan Centre hasn't gotten its act into gear and sent the lists over to the payment place yet so I couldn't pay for those texts and thus couldn't pick them up. Tutoring went well, and I ran into Heidi-sensei after and we had a nice chat. Apparently Lauren's teacher said she's settling really well into the class, especially having not done year 8 Jap, so I'm feeling really proud of my tutoring skillz at the moment.
Also, Girls Grammar needs a list of possible French tutors, if any of you Canberrans are interested.
I finished reading all the Count Cain scans I had-- first seven volumes, missing 7-5, but it wasn't a continuation so it didn't kill me the same way as missing 5-5 was. Which reminds me: thank you very much to
silvermuse89 and
mdkitten! <3333 x infinity! (I'm terribly behind on my lj comments. *is such a dork*) But now I'll have to wait until I'm next in Sydney until I get the rest of Godchild. ALAS.
Other news... hm... my paid account runs out on I think Saturday or Sunday, and classes start on Monday. At 1pm, for me. How vexing, I prefer classes early so they're over and done with. Strange from someone who hates mornings, I know, but they're a write-off anyway so I may as well use them on class and not waste my afternoons and evenings. Right? Well, anyway. Still not writing much, although I've got a birthday Riku/Sora fic coming up for Meg and I wrote Touya/Yukito for sis, as previously mentioned. Keep forgetting to put it up. She's already read it, which does take off the edge of the urgency.
I suspect that I'll be beset by writing inspiration as soon as I resume class. Such is definitely life.
