*giggling helplessly*

In phonetics & phonology. This example HAS to be shared.

"Clark Kent and Superman always show up in complementary distribution. When Clark is in the office, Superman is not seen anywhere. When Superman is there, Clark is always absent. AND they look similar. People therefore always suspect they are the same person."

Meanwhile, I got my gloves back, which is the difference between losing them in a Japanese lecture and losing them anywhere else. I got my draft sakubun edited and have written up a final copy, which took about an hour (two things I'm not certain about. Does anybody know whether it's [place] に止まる or で止まる? And [place] で観光しをする is wrong, isn't it? Should I say 観光をする? [place]を観光しに行く?). I am exceptionally stressed about my law assessment, one paper and one oral, both of which are in a week and a half and I'm in Sydney the weekend before. AAAARGH.

On a brighter note: Mari, have you listened to ミントのどきどき作戦? Could not stop LAUGHING. Especially at Chester's impersonation of Cless and Mint ラブラブ. Hee.

... I'm hungry.

*contemplates this*

I always get so confused with [place] に止まる or で止まる...
In my textbooks, both are listed as being correct, and I can't seem to figure out the difference between them. I'm guessing に止まる would be if you know exactly where you'd be stopping, like in a specific area or lot, where as で止まる would be more general? I have no idea. Those are just my thoughts on it...

Augh augh augh particles are the bane of my very existence. *headdesk* I suspect that's probably right but I'm not sure whether a town would count as specific enough. Probably not. Maybe it's de.

MAYBE THE UNIVERSE HATES ME.

Oh well.

Thanks anyway. ♥

Well... if it's a town, my feeling is that you should go with に. Since you know the name of the town, you know where the town is, etc....

And I'm sure the universe doesn't hate you. *pats*

Yeah, that's the bit with Alwin and Nancy. I was really happy they dramatised it even though it was just a sidequest, because it was LOVELY. Like Chester's impersonations. ♥

I also listened to the first half of Rainy Day Blue last night. Through all the tracks about Arche's mother and the first and second Chester tracks. (And the final track of Anthology 1, but that was only about 3 minutes) Tales of Phantasia makes me CRY. Waaaah.

Also, what do you think about に vs で with 止まる? I'm leaning towards ポート・アーサーに観光しに行く, also.
