*BANGS GONG* CHRISTMAS, OI!
Sep. 7th, 2006 06:19 pmDespite copious amounts of procrastination both Tuesday and Wednesday, I managed to get my Legal Theory paper done in time. Just. Pinpoint references are the bane of my existence. I loathe them, I loathe them, I utterly detest them. And it wasn't like I had 50 footnotes for this one, either, which I did for the international law. (You know you're a law student when you have that many footnotes in a 2000 word paper.)
So anyway, my week to date:
* Brother arrived Saturday. Is his usual obnoxious self, except that he's spending a lot of time ringing barristers and talking to them about going to the Bar.
* Sunday was Fathers' Day in Australia. Dad didn't think of anything he wanted until then, so I'm going to get him an umbrella, but in the meantime I got him a cupcake. We went to the Museum for lunch, which was really good, and then mum dragged us all to Woden to make me try clothes on at Katies', which wasn't good because dad and Rohan got grumpy and I had to try on lots of clothes that made me feel bad.
* Mari came over Monday afternoon. Then we had to get a bus to Civic so I could talk to my tutor about my Legal Theory oral (which the paper was based on), and when we got there we ate lunch at Sizzle Bento. Mmm, tempura potato. <3 After that I went to find my tutor and realised she hadn't told me the room number. I then wasted half an hour wandering around the law faculty, discovering that Sir Anthony Mason has an office there (former High Court judge) but my tutor does not, attempting to look up the staff registry, sending my tutor an email, etc, until I was late and had the bright idea to check the Philosophy faculty, where I found her quite quickly. Mari spent that time much more fruitfully sitting in the sun outside. After we'd finished it was about 5 and her mum picked us up and dropped me home.
* Tuesday... I procrastinated. No, seriously, I can't remember anything except "working" on my paper and playing lots of ToDII. I paid for that procrastination because mum got a reminder call that I had a dentist appointment on Wednesday at 10 am and it took me until 3am to get my draft done.
* Wednesday, mum forgot I had said dentist appointment until 10 to 10, when she woke me up. I got to the dentist at 10 past. My wisdom teeth haven't done anything since last year, amazingly I still need no fillings despite my dodgy teeth-brushing habits (behold! THE POWER OF FLURIDISED WATER), and had to admit to another health professional that no, my diabetes is not stable yet.
* I then paid some more for Tuesday's procrastination, which didn't stop me procrastinating more. In the end I got it in about 10 minutes before the Services Office closed.
* My mum told me last week to invite Dani over for dinner some time, so I invited her Wednesday. I think mum particularly likes Dani because she remembers what it was like to live away from home during uni. Anyway, it was fun, even though Ebony was being particularly vocal and obnoxious at dinner.
* Right now I am at work. I was only awake for about 5 hours before I went to work, so I haven't done much today. I played Tales of Destiny II, mostly, and am now up to the bit right before the last dungeon/boss. Also, Rohan cooked hamburgers for lunch, which he also did on Tuesday. Mm. Hamburgers.
I had a pumpkin scone and milk for dinner, on a sidenote.
In other news, Namco clearly HATES ME. Aside from the fact that my Tales of Destiny/Destiny II ship is more ironically dead than even Seishirou/Subaru, Namco is now releasing another limited edition pre-order Japan-only seiyuu dvd, this time with its remake of Tales of Destiny. WHY, NAMCO, WHY.
Speaking of, I have started writing again. However, because inspiration is never convenient, I started one Tales of Destiny humour fic and one Tales of Destiny II angst fic, despite being in the middle of a KH fic and Part II of CCS!X. (And wanting to start Boyband!X, too.)
The point of this, though, is that I was reminded that Christmas is 3 months away. And this may seem a long time to most of you, but to me-- considering exams and my extreme sports version of procrastination-- now is a VERY GOOD TIME to start raking in the Christmas requests.
Also! Meffie, your birthday is coming up, right? Do you want birthday fic?

CHRISTMAS FIC REQUESTS START HERE, PEOPLE.
If you don't know yet, maybe just comment to tell me you're still thinking, so I'll be able to approximate how many there'll be. I mean, I keep the requests open until fairly late, but I do like early warning. Also! Meffie, your birthday is coming up, right? Do you want birthday fic?

Bugger. I'm putting in a placeholder for "something Mirage or maybe FMA" for now.
