Sep. 23rd, 2006 01:29 pmOkay, I would just like to say to start with that CCS!X has been updated, first half of Part II being here, and comes in at somewhere between 18,500 ~ 19,000 words. Secondly, there is TRC!S&S fic from Kamui POV here, which is a belated birthday present for Meffie. ♥ It has spoilers for Chapitre 128.
I would then say that from yesterday to tomorrow is the Tokyo Game Show and I'm going to make a post (or so) talking about the games Bandai-Namco and SquareEnix are showing.
Those things aside: AUGH GOD I HATE THE WAITRESS GAME IN TALES OF DESTINY II SO FREAKING MUCH!!!!! *breaks things* It is IMPOSSIBLE to do Aigurette with Harold! It is even MORE impossible to do Hopetown with Nanali or Harold!
Anyway, my week to date.
Monday: Back to uni. Groan. I can't remember anything beyond this, so I assume nothing of interest happened. OH NO WAIT yes it did, I stayed after my classes (which finished at 3) until 5 to write a draft for my japanese composition, which was on natural disasters. It was creepily essay-like, and involved mention of the price of bananas and words like "industry" and "tropic of capricorn". Then I went home and my laptop fell off my lap and landed on its AC cable, which broke.
Tuesday: I had an exam at 4 and a three hour gap before it which I spent "studying" with Dani. By which I mean we lazed around in the sun and occasionally asked each other questions. Both of us felt amazingly sick. The exam was definitely not as bad as it could have been, though. Seriously, if I went into a law exam with that little preparation? I would be TOAST.
Wednesday: I've only got two hours of class on Wednesdays, 9-11, so I hopped a bus home and went to Floriade with mum, Marie and Marie's friend Lisa in the afternoon. The displays weren't that great-- the theme didn't really work-- but I enjoyed myself. Plus, Mari is working at the children's corner there for CIT, so when she finished up at 3 I went and found her and we all had afternoon tea. Mm, cake. Mum offered to drop Mari at the Woden interchange, since it's easier to get to her suburb catching a bus from there than Civic, and that meant Mari and I got to hang out until 4.30, because we went to Marie's place for a while so she and mum could discuss the garden.
On the not so bright and cheerful side, I got my Legal Theory oral and essay marks back and was a bit disappointed with the essay. The essay was worth 20%, the oral 10%; I got a distinction on the oral and a credit on the essay, despite that they were basically the same content and I'm usually good at essays. Most frustratingly, I could have gotten a better mark if I'd added just ONE sentence-- her problem with it was mostly structural in that the intro didn't say anything about the second half of the essay and I didn't make it clear enough how it connected to the first half. And see, I knew very well in my MIND how they connected, I just obviously thought I'd said it already when I really hadn't. Sigh.
Thursday: No work, because we closed early all this week. Had 10am class, but had to get up at 8 to go have a fasting blood test for my endocrinology appointment on Monday. They were running tests for Coeliac, thyroid function, liver function, white blood cell count, and a full blood workup in addition to the general diabetes test and a urine test, which meant they took two massive vials and two fairly large vials of blood that I think must have been about 250mL together. Then I left my clipboard with my Japanese composition in it at the hospital and mum had to drive me back to pick it up, yelling at me the whole way about how stupid I am and how I'm never ever going to Japan because I'm incapable of looking after myself. As I result I was of course about 10 minutes late for Jap, but it didn't really matter.
I realised in my Japanese lecture that I'd forgotten to do the newspaper assignment this week, and stayed behind after classes searching through a newspaper for the letters to the editor and then reading one of the letters I found so I could summarise it (also in Japanese). I was at uni until 3; Dani had a tute at 3, so she hung out with me and wrote out the final copy of her own composition.
Friday: Day off! I did NOTHING except play ToDII and scream in frustration at the wait-staff minigame, and I am PROUD. Sort of. Okay, maybe I should have done some uni work. << I also did some writing and read up on the Tokyo Game Show. Annoyingly, the lightbulb over my computer blew and the fixture is dodgy so I can't get it out to replace it.
Today: Again, I have as yet done nothing except contemplate the Tokyo Game Show and translate some of the information on the specific Namco games. I think I have a stye. The entire city is out of gold dust eye cream, because it hasn't been manufactured for several months. Eh.
Tomorrow: Mum and Dad are having a lunch party with all their friends, which is exceptionally unusual. No, seriously, it's rare enough that they meet up with any of their friends, let alone all of them at once, let alone organise something like this. Huh. Anyway. I've also got a doctor's appointment at about 5, because I haven't had my period in four months and I'm getting stomach aches and this concerns me.
Also, Ji told me to get a facebook, and I'm a sheep, so I did.

Date: 2006-09-26 08:26 am (UTC)I have been rather busy for me, now that you mention it. I think I need more time to do everything in, but then, EVERYONE thinks that...
