Oct. 9th, 2006 12:54 pmYou know, watching Stargate: Atlantis download is a little like watching a continental drift, only with more impatience. And this is only season 1. *glazed stare*
No progress has been made on Tales of Destiny II. I go in the secret dungeon, I get my arse kicked, game over. I go into the middle round singles stream of the Coliseum, I beat two rounds, magic kicks my arse, and I get a little experience but not much. It's very frustrating, but I hate levelling up and haven't quite reached that level of desperation yet. I have at least finally discovered how refining works. I shunned it before because rune bottles were so expensive, but hey.
As for my weekend, I'm an idiot and instead of make up for my sleep dep I merely added to it, which was why I was out of it today, almost fell asleep in phonetics, and had to take a nap from 8-9pm. On Friday/Saturday, I went to bed at 5 am. There is perhaps a reason for this, but probably a bad one, and I don't remember what it was.
Oh, wait, wait, that was my last entry. I remember, I was writing and doing uni work.
So... right. Anyway, my mother's interstate sisters (she has 3 sisters; Marie lives here, Cheryl lives in Sydney, and Judy lives in Brisbane) were in Canberra for the weekend. They bought me an extremely early birthday present-- a pendant, red oblong with a oriental patterns and a small round figure in a kimono. It's pretty. Anyway, my mother had these earrings she'd bought on Friday, red resin, and I didn't have any earrings to wear with the pendant when we went out for dinner Saturday night she loaned them to me. Then she decided they suited me better than they did her, so they're an early birthday present too.
Today I had four hours straight, 3 hours of which were international law. It wasn't as bad as it sounds, at least until the fourth hour, but that was mostly because the lecture was technical and about Fourier transformations and made very little sense. Also I was just really tired.
On the bright side I had perfect bloodsugars from dinner last night until dinner tonight (it wasn't so brilliant when I checked it just then, but it wasn't horrendous, so maybe it'll go down by breakfast), and I got my international law assignment back. I got 70, which is just scraping a Distinction; I think it says something a little depressing about how much law has lowered my standards/expectations when I'm mostly happy with that for an assignment I put so much work into, but oh well. The main thing I'm miffed about is the complete lack of meaningful feedback, so I might ask my tutor (who lectures one of the other streams and gave really good feedback) to look at it for me.
I really need to study for my Japanese tests tomorrow and go to sleep, but it's very hard to find the motivation. *contemplates this* Eh.
Note to self, tag the last few entries. Sometime.
