Oct. 13th, 2006 01:48 pmTo be continued: when used in tandem, the three most frustrating words in the English language. *tears out hair* DOWNLOAD FASTER, DAMN YOU!
Also, if anyone actually needs any reason to watch SGA-- Armish Gestapo. What more do you need?
Um, in other frustrating news, there was a fic I read about one or two weeks ago, before I started keeping a list of links, and I can't remember the author or the title or how it ended and I can't find it. It was Mckay/Sheppard, and involved ruins with secret rooms. Rodney and John got stuck in one of them and had to use advanced maths to get out, and then there was another room where there was a weapon which downloaded into John's brain. Or something. It may have involved ascension or the chair, that's all I remember. And that's a very crap summary, but it was a good fic.
Hm, what else. Some washing has been done, emphasis upon some. Uni work disgustingly undone, fail at life the universe and everything, etcetera. On the bright side I am almost certain one of the essay questions for International Law will be on Iraq, and it's always easier to write a paper when you're passionate. For one thing, you remember the details more easily, and for another, where the fuck is Ebony? ... Sorry, leaving that for mild amusement's sake, since I just got distracted and typed what I was thinking. For another, it's easier to write a stronger paper when you're not sitting on the fence or just don't have an opinion.
And the fact that I am pre-empting it means that if I'm right, I'll be more prepared for it. Anyway.
On a final parting note, I just thought I'd share my observation that the first time I saw John Sheppard, he and especially his hair reminded me of Han Solo and Mal Reynolds. That only becomes funnier when I think about it and realise that all three are laconic space pilots. Must be laconic space pilot hair. *snicker*
PS: the watching of SGA has been greatly improved by me bothering to burn the episodes off to rewritable dvd as they download and watching it on the widescreen tv. Oh contrast, brightness, lack of reflection, large screen and couches! you are the light of my life!

Date: 2006-10-13 08:08 pm (UTC)This has absolutely RUINED me for watching anything on the computer anymore. There is no comparison to a comfy couch or bed for watching things on. None at all.
