Nov. 19th, 2006 11:36 pmOkay, so, I figure it's safe to update now I'm not just going to whine about being sick. :D Still not completely better, but I can talk and no longer wish I were dead or in a coma, so big improvement. Lost the sore throat and headache; still a bit feverish and snuffly, and I've acquired a cough, but hey, I'm no longer miserable or useless.
Sooo, what've I been up to... well, I visited the new part of the Canberra Centre today with my aunt. God, it's getting big. It's starting to get confusing referring to different bits. "Oh, so we're back at the old part of the Canberra Centre? Uh, I mean, the old new part. You know what I mean." There's the original part, and then there's the bit that extended across the road, and then there's the bit they just opened (which is still half a construction site, lots of the shops aren't open yet), and apparently they're going to build even more where the City Markets used to be. I'm a bit bewildered. And mildly disgusted by how many clothes shops there are. But hey! New cinema (not open yet), plus Borders. We didn't have a Borders in Canberra before, and it's in the same area as the new, much bigger JBs and Electronic Boutique.
Borders was mostly what I was going in for today, because they had a 20% off thing, and because I have no willpower, I blew $50. Heh. ^^; Now I have The Last Hero and the new Ian Irvine book. RE: the former, that means I'm only missing The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents and Wyntersmith out of all the Discworld books.
I also checked EB and JBs for NDS chargers, because that one I ordered off the net turned out to be an adaptor so I STILL don't have a charger. No dice, sadly. I might check Dick Smith sometime to see if they have something I can plug the adaptor into.
Anyway, other than that. I've now beaten the first miniboss battle in Aqua Labyrinth in ToDII and saved twice, at the expense of some rare items. SIGH. I did beat it a third time but I went on to the next set of levels and got killed because I forgot to equip the moon select and couldn't run away from a nasty random encounter. Ah well, ce la vie.
Christmas fics? 3 down, 1 in progress, total running word count 29000 words. Don't know whether to laugh or cry. XD There are 22 and a half left; the half is boyband!X.
As for Mirage of Blaze: Aka no Zanei, am up to page 74. May go read that now, actually, since no one is online and I'm not sure I really feel like attacking the next scene of boyband!X just now.
You know, it's going to pain me so much to give boyband!X a title. Maybe I should just call it that.
Uh, or, you know. Not.
ETA: So okay, maybe I lied about not writing anymore. And all I have to say is... wtf, this is the most awkward, lameass conversation ever. Is it them, or me? *stare* (I blame Subaru. This usually works for me.)
ETA 2: It is 2.45 in the FREAKING AM and Subaru and Seishirou both hate me. *cry*
ETA: HAH TAKE THAT, STUPID SCENE. It is 3 am and I am going to beeeeeeeeeeeeeeed.
