Dec. 16th, 2006 12:33 amOh hey, new update page.
Well, whatever. Anyway, I've been meaning to make an update for about two and a half weeks about a whole range of things, like Mirage of Blaze and Saiunkoku Monogatari and Tales of Eternia and the cricket (which I'm sure no one on my flist cares about but me, actually, but hey), and, and work, and you know. Lots of stuff.
But I'm lazy. So that stuff might get its own post eventually, but today is NOT THAT DAY.
You might be amused to know that the thing that has finally driven me to post is that Christmas fics are driving me utterly bonkers. *cough*
Anyway, in quick summation, as of Wednesday the 13th I am no longer a teenager. The Japanese restaurant I went to for dinner that night gave me Honey Plum Liquer, which was very nice. Er. I got my hair cut/coloured for the first time since May, so it looks nice and blonde and short again for the first time in about 6 months. Tomorrow I have to get up and go to Road Ready, which I am finally doing. To give some perspective, it is the course you have to do to get your Learner's Permit, and my parents ostensibly gave me driving lessons for my 17th birthday, i.e. three years ago almost exactly.
Yeah.
Other than that... I'm on disc 3 of Tales of Eternia, the last chapter of Mirage of Blaze 3 (Glass Lullaby), and 17/25 of the Christmas fics. I have this song on repeat while I try to finish fic seventeen and I may lose the plot, because it's late (considering I have to get up) and the fic hates me and I may never get the song out of my head.
Though, it is a good song.
Today in my grand attempts to procrastinate-- or more charitably, to understand what the hell Ayako was talking about in Mirage of Blaze-- I researched Japanese mysticism on the Japanese wikipedia. It was very informative, although I ended up wasting a lot of time and having to follow links to a billion wiki pages because it would explain one thing by referring to OTHER things ("Gon is made up of yang-yang-yin Kou." "... That's nice? *clicks on the link to explain Kou*").
And really I'm just procrastinating again by writing this entry, and I know it. SIGH.
