Jan. 3rd, 2007 11:23 amEverybody else is doing it so I'm going to be a sheep and jump off a cliff. Baa!
Marks-wise it wasn't terrible, but it could have been better. Japanese was straight HDs, but Law was straight Credits. I finished my second year.
At the end of the year, I FINALLY got my learner license, which also doubles for FINALLY getting ID.
I became more literate in Japanese, and finally finished reading Mirage of Blaze book 1, which I've been reading on and off since about 2004. (I also read books 2, 3 and 4.)
I bought a Nintendo DS, got my PSII modchipped, and beat Kingdom Hearts II, Tales of Destiny, Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon, and Tales of Destiny II. In that time I started but did not finish Final Fantasy XII, Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus, Final Fantasy I, and Tales of Eternia. I got a laptop and moved to taking uni notes on Word instead of by paper, and also to playing SNES/GBA games in-between notes, which distracted my uni friends more than it distracted me.
Also I bought all of Discworld, minus The Amazing Maurice and Wintersmith. *smug*
I probably picked up a ton of new fandoms, including SGA and Saiunkoku among many others. And I wrote fic. Which is now why I'm going to do the "2006 in fic" meme.
The following does not include unposted WiPs.

I'm not sure whether to be annoyed that took so long or pleased because it's a testament to how much I wrote. XD Anyhow, it's my lunchbreak. On a sidenote I got my MRI results and there is no tumour, which means it's presumably connected to PCOS somehow.
Until later!

Date: 2007-01-05 03:25 am (UTC)Argh, misssed so much of whats been going on!
WTF? TUMOR? Were you really sick or something? Soooo good you dun have one though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MRI is the brain one right? or head or whatever...maybe im wrong. I had that too, it was really noisy and boring. Where did you get it done? Did you have to go to Sydney or do they take MRIs in Canberra?
Soooo many fics! God, just like every other year though;P
Did you finish all the xmas fics? Where do you find any time to do aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall of them! so fun to read!
Have you found out anymore about PCOS? You wouldnt have it to a really major degree would you? I think its quite common, 20 percent of australian women have it i think...

Date: 2007-01-05 05:50 am (UTC)Well, they did a scan of my brain to check my pituitary gland, because apparently high prolactin levels can be caused by a tumour pressing on the gland. Benign, but it's still better not to have one. Since they didn't find anything, I think that means it's probably caused by PCOS like all the other hormone imbalances. (I don't know if I still have to take other medication for it in that case, though. *hasn't seen the specialist yet*) But yeah, they do MRIs in Canberra, I went to John James in Deakin. And you're right, those things are so boring. >< I got a really bad headache too though that was partially 'cause I hadn't had enough sleep.
I finished ALMOST all of them-- I'm still working on yours and Mari's, but I'm almost there. ^^ It's a bit disappointing because this is the first year I didn't finish by Christmas, but it's not too bad.
Yeah, PCOS is really common. Mine isn't too bad-- the hormones are out of whack but not massively. The prolactin thing doesn't always happen, which is the only more concerning bit. It may be affected by my diabetes, I think, because they're both endocrinological problems.
Anyway, how are you? How's Japan?
