I have CLEANED OUT MY WARDROBE. *strikes heroic pose!* This involved 2 garbage bags full of clothes I never wear because a, they don't fit me, b, I don't like them, c, they are old and ratty or d, some combination of all the above. Yes, 2 full garbage bags. It also involved tossing out shoes I don't wear/are broken/don't fit-- probably about a garbage bag of them-- and completely reorganising everything in my wardrobe. I don't know how long the order will last, because I have done the whole folding things neatly in piles (e.g. on the top shelf there are tops, which consist of a pile for jumpers, a pile for cardigans, a pile for light tops, a pile for heavy tops, and a pile for slobby t-shirts) and ordering the rail in order of type of clothing before, but maybe, having thrown out the things I will never wear ever except when desperate it will stay neater for longer.

There is still about 2 washbaskets full of dirty clothes to wash, unfortunately. This after I did a load yesterday. SIGH.

I don't know if I mentioned this earlier, but I also cleaned up my books, which was a fairly epic task because it involved a lot of tetris like shifting of things and throwing out of some other things. After the dirty clothes, I still have to deal with makeup, jewellery, accessories, my desk drawers and soft toys before my room is completely clean for the first time in forever, but I will feel a lot better afterwards. If and when this happens.

On a non-cleaning note, Mari and Yuka come back from Japan tomorrow and I am ecstatic about this, hooray! Claire also comes back from overseas, though I didn't actually know she'd gone until Jen told me. I went out with Jen Friday night to watch the Australia Day fireworks, which were pretty awesome; afterwards we decided to go to my house instead of ringing Jen's mother to pick us up (because then we could hang out at my place for a while), so we walked to the bus stop on Commonwealth Avenue. No buses were coming past, though a lot of people were milling around wondering if there were going to be any and if they'd stop there. Jen and I decided it was a lost cause and walked to the Civic bus interchange, which is not ridiculously long but is not a short walk either (you can see the hypo coming, I know). On the weekdays timetable, the next bus to Deakin (suburb next to mine) was coming at 10.20. This was at 9.50. We waited until 10.20, didn't see a single bus going anywhere during that time, and then I realised public holiday = sunday timetable.

No buses after 7.20. WELL FUCKING GREAT. It was really bad because there were HEAPS of people milling around the bus interchange hoping the buses were running, and there was nothing in the paper about buses not running around the time the Australia Day events were finishing. Sheesh. So Jen and I shared a taxi with this other guy waiting for a bus who turned out to be a Constitutional lawyer, got dropped off at the Deakin shops and walked to my place. Cost $5 each, could've been worse.

So then we played Tales of Rebirth for a while with me translating for Jen, realised it was midnight, and decided it'd be better if Jen slept over rather than getting her mother to pick her up at that hour. Mum said it was fine, so long as I made the bed and washed the sheets after (which uh, I still have to do.) We played on the ps2 until about 5am, went "OH GOD", crashed, and then I woke up at 8.30 am with a hypo and tingling because my body hates me yay! THEN I WENT BACK TO BED.

Also, I had my first driving lesson on Friday, and it was ABSOLUTELY FUCKING TERRIFYING. I hate the clutch. I hate the clutch so damn much. I am not made for controlling things with my feet. Especially in tiny cars where my legs are that squished, dammit. But at least I only stalled twice and didn't crash or go off the road or anything, I guess.

Meanwhile, I should put another load of washing on, so I'm going to wrap this entry up here. Whooo. It was very boring, I know. *g*
