tammaiyaToday I have done very little, having not gotten out of bed until about 1.30pm and having work at 5pm. Really all I've done is work on the ToD blog, watch SaiMono S2 progressively download, tool around on Amazon Japan (is there anyone in Canberra who is contemplating ordering anything off it? because the base postage is a lot less painful when halved), and start reading book 6 of mirage.
I am spamming a) because I can! b) because I'm at work (see also a) and c) because I need to roll around laughing at Saori, who when telling Yuhiko about what's happened since book one, she refers to the events in book 3/4 as "The Case of Chiaki Abducting Yuzuru".
On a random but connected side note, I previously haven't really noticed much in the way of dialect in Takaya and co's speech, (unlike, eg, when they go to Nara and there's notable kansai traits) but Saori calls Yuhiko "Yuhiko-hyan" instead of chan. Huh. I guess, since Matsumoto is in Nagano and Nagano is right near Tokyo, there probably aren't that many differences, but it would be nice to know what they are. Too bad I can't listen to the pitch patterns.
... oh my god, I am such a geek. If I breathe even a WORD about doing a thesis on dialects, someone shoot me, PLEASE.
