HOORAY.

After almost 3 hours of solid paperwork and feeling my soul dying inch by inch, my desk is CLEAN. And yes, I know this is my job, but that much paperwork all at once is unusual and unpleasant. *breathes sigh of relief* Now I have nothing to do but deal with the phone and the patients until closing.

Which is good, because my back is killing me and I'm tired. Curse boyband!X for keeping me up until 5am, even when you don't have to get up in the morning it's hard to recover from that. << On that front, though, the total wordcount has surpassed 51K and I just have to finish the two climax scenes. The stuff I wrote when tipsy and/or tired is all fine, but the problem was I got lazy and for most of that night would write half a scene, go EH TOO MUCH EFFORT and start writing the next scene. Which means since then I've been filling in the gaps, which perhaps takes more time to get everything to flow properly but probably forces me to edit more as I go and saves me in the end, I suppose.

Unfortunately, this one chapter, which was supposed to be contained in the one post with chapter 6, has already exceeded 10K and I'm probably going to use up another 1000 to finish those two scenes. There is no convenient place to cut it, especially since I've already DONE THAT. *headdesk* (Twice, actually. Originally this part was meant to be contained in part IV, but, well, it never works out that way with me.)

On the Mirage of Blaze front, I'm 80 pages into book 7 and if book 8 doesn't arrive tomorrow, I'm going to be troubled. Post doesn't come on weekends and I'm going back to uni on Monday, which means the times I'll be at home to sign for any deliveries will be dramatically decreased. Aieee. (what do people who work normal business hours do, I wonder?)

Doctor was running quite over time but has caught up miraculously and is about to take his last patient in. I should eat my dinner. *goes to do so*

... ow back ow. ;_;

Unfortunately, my back and I have an epic ongoing civil war. >< It's never been quite right since about year 10 or 11, but sometimes it gets worse than other times. It's feeling a bit better today, though. Thank you. ♥

I probably should, but a combination of cost, time, and laziness mean I never have. Sometimes I get my mum to rub my back, though, and even that can help a lot when I'm feeling really bad.
