Jun. 6th, 2003 04:07 pmMy brother sent me an mp3 called "Billing time". It was hilarious- a song about a lawyer billing his clients to the tune of Time After Time. *snigger* Got to show that one to my parents, when they get home.
1) Do you have any special rituals for writing or drawing? What are they?
Let me see... special rituals... Well, often I do writing in big blocks. I'll get inspiration, I'll sit down and write an entire chapter, then I won't do anything for a month. Also, my friend Ashie says I have a tendency to frown or grin evilly depending on how my characters are feeling. I use my poor defenseless friends as soundboards a lot, too- I'll tell them what's going to happen, beg them for suggestions to fill plot holes or whatever, and then grab for my notebook to write notes.
As for drawing, it's generally the opposite. I pick it up and put it down all the time. The way I start it generally dictates the quality of the picture, too- the ones in class are mostly scribbles, the ones at work tend to be quite good cause I have several hours with nothing else to do in the lulls, and the ones during my free time vary. With the free time ones, I often listen to music, and the tone of the picture and sometimes even the subject is set by the music. So to stop the picture going weird, I repeat the same song over and over and over again until I'm done. ^ ^; I'm sure it's really annoying for anyone else in the room.
2) Situation: One of the Heavenly Chaos crew drops in on you to pester. Who is it, and what are they pestering you about?
Ooh, tough one. There's 26, so it's hard to decide, but I think it would probably be Belial. And he'd be pestering me about ending up with Raphael.
Actually, the really sad thing is that he practically does already. In my mind, I can just feel him complaining. It's very distracting, and it makes me feel guilty. *sweatdrop*
3) Is the Australian educational system evil enough to earn Crowley a commendation?
I'm not sure. Certainly Catholic schools ought to on grounds of general evilness. (I went to a catholic school from kindergarten to grade 2 and I'm scarred for life...)
As for Australian schools, the system varies from state to state. The Canberra system isn't THAT bad- we have continuous assessment over year 11 and 12, whereas in Sydney they do a big test covering both years work right at the end. We also have to do a scaling test to see how our school ranks with the others in Canberra, and then they give us our University admission score.
So like I said- not too bad, but I still think Crowley would be proud.
4) Situation: You are given license to go anywhere on the planet and stay there for two weeks (because one is never enough). Money, by the way, is not object. Where do you go, why, and what do you do there?
ooh! HOLIDAY!
Well, I would definitely go to Japan. I'd go there because I'm learning the language, they have cool games and electronics etc, I've always wanted to go there, and, well, it's JAPAN. (If you haven't realised, I'm rather obsessive about Japan.
^ ^;)
As for what I'd do there... hm. Where to start? I think I'd run around Tokyo and go to bookstores and game shops. I'd watch a lot of tv. I'd visit Kyoto, because it's supposed to be really pretty. I'd visit Kameoke sensei (the japanese billet assistant teacher from last year), because she was really nice and I miss her. If it was after this October, I'd visit Yuki-sensei as well. Um. I'd probably visit Mari's dad. And otherwise I'd just go to places that looked interesting.
5) What's your favorite matchbox 20 song? Why?
My favourite? It'd probably be either Push or Unwell. Push, because it was the first M20 song I ever knew and it totally rocks, and Unwell because a) it's really pretty and b) I've proclaimed it as Gaia's theme song.
And testing week is coming up. Meep. I hate tests, and History and maths are both on the first day. I feel intimidated.
Oh yeah, Ashie- I hope you feel better, and as you may note from the current music thing that I managed to get Still for you. So you'll have to listen to it at some point. Like I said, Macy Grey has a very different voice, but I really like the song.

Date: 2003-06-06 09:22 pm (UTC)and oh. Belial is ending with with Sammy. Don't care what you do, but Bel is ending up with Sammy. Not Raph, who needs to go with Mikey-boy to annoy him and taunt him with Nirvana. And that is finally...
Though I know what you mean by charries pestering you, I have Dom and Uther II bickering in my head about whether Uther is straight or not. And Dom is taunting him...gah!
