Okay, trufax: the internet was right, I was wrong, Doctor Who is brilliant. Or fantastic, pick your doctor. Either way: you win. After two years of ignoring it every time anyone told me to watch Doctor Who, I have finally caved, and I concede defeat.

On that note, for about two weeks now I've been working on a post on my reactions to various episodes, which is why it's taken so long for me to post again (I gave up on the idea that I'd be done anytime soon) to say thanks to everyone who congratulated me on my last post.

Anyhoo, I think this is the first time I can say I am honestly an equal opportunity shipper right to the point of fic. Doctor/Rose, Doctor/Martha, Doctor/Master, I'm good. Doctor/Jack, too, but not in a permanent capacity, since I prefer Jack with his team. I'm even being slowly seduced to the idea of Doctor/Donna, even though she initially annoyed the crap out of me.

In conclusion, it seems that Doctor/Master gets all the good fic.

Also, how much would Wherever You Will Go make the best themesong ever for DW/TW? I've seen a Doctor/Rose fanvid to it, but it was pre-Doomsday. Anyway, you could TOTALLY cram a whole lot of pairings into it. Doctor->Rose, Rose->Doctor, Martha->Doctor, Jack->Doctor, Ianto->Jack, Ianto->Lisa, Owen->Diane, Doctor->Master... c'mon, it'd be great.

... please stop me before I start to consider this seriously. >< The one vid I ever actually started making (Roy/Ed, The Internet Is For Porn) is still sitting half finished on my harddrive about two years after the fact. Cough.

GOD I'm tired. If only I had a modicum of common sense.

On a final note, I'm thinking I need to overhaul my icons. It may be time for some live-action fandom ones. *thoughtful*

I do not ship Doctor/Donna, I just enjoy their interactions. I am, however, a sad and devoted Doctor/Jack shipper. Even in full knowledge of the fact that Torchwood would just be crushed under the weight of its own inefficiency without Jack.

I read a humour fic where she insisted on still wearing her wedding dress while they travelled and the Doctor had to try explaining to people, repeatedly, that they WEREN'T MARRIED while in the background she was like, "hah, not if he was the last-- well, I suppose he is the last of whatever he is, but whatever!". it was kind of hilarious. I wouldn't ship it seriously, though.

With Doctor/Jack... I dunno. I can't always tell when I will or won't go for something, but in this case the fact that it's healthier for Jack to move on weighs in for me. At the end of LotTL he'd reached the point where he was enough at peace with the Doctor to move on and want to return to his team of his own volition. I'm all in favour of them having a relationship and still caring about each other once their dynamic has shifted, but Jack being able to move on at the end of that is important to me.

They've got a lot more history, too. ;)

I'm not sure that I 'ship Doctor/Martha so much as want to squish Martha into itsy bitsy lovehearts. XD
