tammaiyaSo my brother is in Canberra for the weekend, bringing an end to my solitary habitation. Pity, I was quite enjoying it. Anyway, we're going out to dinner tomorrow night with our Aunt Marie; I need to get researching on restaurant menus and make a decision so I can book tonight after work.
Also, he mocked me for downloading emo music. That's okay; he mocks me all the time anyway, and it's not like I have any taste or street cred or moral high ground in the first place. What's not so okay is that I'm at work and have emo music stuck in my head.
It's possible that I just like the word emo. <<
Whatever, for now it's been replaced by Pavarotti, whose music was being played on the radio after his death. He was a brilliant singer, and he died of cancer aged 71. RIP, I guess.
Completely on another topic, Julian and Chas from the Chaser got arrested today. (If you haven't heard of the Chaser, google it. Better yet, go download the official podcast off the ABC website. It's HILARIOUS political satire.) How did they manage this, you ask? By pretending to be the Canadian motorcade and driving within the APEC exclusion zone. They had three cars and a fake police escort, and got past two gate checks to the red zone. XD Apparently they were trying to see how close they could get to George Bush. Hee.
Speaking of, APEC is why my brother is in Canberra. The long weekend officially starts tomorrow, but his chambers are in the same building as the American Consulate, so he decided to take his work with him and bail early. Probably a wise decision.
On a final note, my Tales of Destiny Remake guidebook turned up today. Glee! Most amazingly, the character stats pages include WHAT PERSONAL PRONOUN THEY EACH USE. I am filled with quiet and respectful awe. That is just impressive, really.
PS: I accidentally got House 3x12 dubbed in Spanish. FUCK. I'm never going to catch up at this rate. ;___;
ETA: The heating is broken and I am FUCKING FREEZING AAAAAAAAH.
Apparently they've done a study showing artificial colours and preservatives make kids hyper. No DUH, guys.
I need to answer my emails. There are a lot of them. I feel daunted. *eyes*
