tammaiyaOkay, guys, I know this is probably asking too much, but if ANYONE knows the answer to this, help would be greatly appreciated.
This sentence:

Regarding the について, does it refer to the inquiry or the interim report? In other words, which of these is the correct translation?
A) The inquiry set up by the Ministry of the Environment has arranged an interim report on the proposed amendment to the “containers and wrapping recycling law”, which prescribes the system of recycling for plastic containers that come out of households and so on, including such things as a new toll on disposable plastic shopping bags.
B) The inquiry set up by the Ministry of the Environment on the proposed amendment to the “containers and wrapping recycling law”, which prescribes the system of recycling for plastic containers that come out of households and so on, has arranged an interim report which includes such things as a new toll on disposable plastic shopping bags.
C) Neither! Something else which I will put in the comments!

Date: 2007-10-23 05:09 am (UTC)The official translation given by the dictionary I'm using is "admission toll", but it sounds a lot like an excise tax to me.
