*thoughtfully* Today, I have achieved nothing in so far as study is concerned, but my procrastination has been fairly productive. If that's not an oxymoron, anyway. But I've burned off a bunch of stuff, done some things with iTunes (now there's a bottomless pit of procrastination if I ever saw one), read some more Mirage of Blaze, and pwned another mission in Heroes of Mana. I also typed up some video game blog but, uh, that got killed when my computer crashed. Stupid computer.

Plus, I have opened boyband!X for the first time since, according to the file properties, early August.

In more detail:

* I was seriously running out of space on my computer. I have two drives and they each had, like, 5gb left (one is a 160gb drive, the other is 200gb). Contributing factors being that I like to keep stuff on my computer for easy access even when I've burned it off, and more particularly recently, the homicidal and deeply anarchist nature of my DVD burner. Usually it takes an hour to burn a dvd at what is supposedly 16x speed. However, today it was apparently in a good mood, and I was able to burn off a bunch of stuff at about 7-10 minutes per disc. As I result, I now have 50gb free on each drive. Or I did, it may be a little less than that now.

* Having cleared some space, I was feeling better about the idea of starting to rip some of my CDs to the computer and thus my iPod using iTunes. I also did some changes to titles, artists, albums, etc. It is a thankless job that will probably never be finished, especially when I hit up against dilemmas that make me wonder what to do about multi-disc albums or songs with more than one singer/composer. Re: the first, iTunes will organise things into groups of cds as well as by album, but my iPod can't set up a playlist on that basis, which is obnoxious. Re: the second, is it really so hard to have multiple artist/composer tags? Would someone PLEASE get on this? If I have a song by U2 doing a duet with Bob Marley (which I DO) I want it listed under both artists, not as the only song under "U2 and Bob Marley".

* Okay. So. Mirage of Blaze. I swear there will one day be proper entries about all this, for real, but for now. I am 1/3 through the way of book 10, and I can see disaster coming. It is mesmerising like a trainwreck. I'm serious, there are all these red flashing signs saying things like, "Something horrible and possibly incapacitating is going to happen to Naoe and THEN Takaya is really going to be sorry." Aside from Chiaki essentially warning Takaya the same thing and Ayako worrying over Naoe's ability to function, he's totally lost his spiritual powers right now and is, in other words, TOTALLY DEFENCELESS. And even though he knew he was weaker (though not how much) he was too proud to accept Ayako's help earlier... so if he continues in that fashion, Naoe is so heading for dead-ville. Not for real, since then it'd be hard to have another 30 books, but. Meanwhile, Takaya and Naoe are trying to convince themselves and everyone else that they don't even care about each other anymore. It's already slightly dubious coming from Takaya, but Naoe trying to tell himself, whatever, I don't love him or hate him or feel anything but indifferent? HAH. HAHAHAHAH. You keep on deluding yourself, Naoe. *pats him*

* The current part of Boyband!X is about Kamui, Fuuma and Kotori's past. I wouldn't expect anything terribly soon, but I've started writing it and I have the plan for the whole thing (okay, so I've had that for months, shh) so that's something.
