It's almost 5.30 in the morning and I'm translating the last scene of book 11 of Mirage of Blaze because, a) it's a major scene and b) I have insomnia SO BAD and can't sleep. *tired*
Dad made me chamomile tea because he can't sleep either.
exam today went well, I think; there was no kanji or grammar that I just looked at and went, what the FUCK does that MEAN? and it was a long paper so kanji hell paid itself off.
I am however going to fail IP. it's on wednesday, which is when book 14 of mirage is supposed to arrive.
getting iinet is becoming a big fucking deal. transact uses different cables to every other provider ever, the bitch, which makes it even harder to get off. once upon a time we were connected to telstra cables... and now, to escape the pile of crap that is transact's broadband, we have to reconnect to them. which costs time, and much more importantly, money. money in addition to iinet's setup fees that dad is not feeling so terribly thrilled about. I will be sad in my soul if I am stuck with transact forever.
I hate patents; Naoe is a dick*; I want to sleep.
... It's getting light-ish outside.
does anyone else think that for me to be wearing full winter PJs-- ie, velour trackpants, two pairs of thick socks, nighty, long-sleeve cotton top, polar fleece top, and yes, I DO like layers-- with a doona 2/3 of the way through spring and STILL be cold is jsut, oh, i don't know, a TAD unreasonable?
I have over 4000 translated words of mob book 11. if only i could muster this zeal for sleeping. ... er. that was meant to be studying. sorry, freudian slip. <<
* on that note in my exam today I briefly had a mental blank where I couldn't think of any other example sentence for いわば other than "Naoe is, so to speak, the worst boyfriend in the history of the world." I judiciously decided NOT to write that on my exam paper.
