Oh jesus god I'm tired. I got practically no sleep last night-- friend's 21st, roadtrip interstate, never sleep well in strange places esp. if it's not in a proper bed, etc-- and the only reason I'm still awake is... well, the reason for this post, in fact.

Tomorrow we're changing from the optic fibre (cable) network to the copper wire (adsl) network so we can move from transact to iinet. but this means transact is cut off effective immediately, and iinet will take 10 to 15 business days to connect us.

so in other words, as of tomorrow, I have no internet for 2, maybe 3 weeks. Sometime after christmas, anyway. so, you know, I will be out of contact for a while. And christmas fics will be late. Not, you know, that they weren't going to be late anyway because I fail this year, but... whatever.

I've got the kind of behind the eyes headache where I want to beat my head against a wall until I pass out just to make it end, so I may actually give up, leave my last ditch downloads to try their futile hardest and crawl into bed.

I suppose we can always hope that taking away my internet will make me more productive, but I suspect it'll just make me grumpy that I don't have any effective means of procrastination.

Either way, I'll see you all when I have internet again. Have a good Christmas-- and new year's eve, if I'm not back before then-- and if anything interesting, important, etc happens, link me here, because LJ is hard enough to catch up on after a few days and I've never tried to leave it for weeks, plural, but I suspect it is physically impossible.
