Mar. 14th, 2008 08:15 pmHm, it seems it's been about a month since I last updated. Oh dear. I keep intending to, and it keeps... not happening.
Mostly because, if you talk to me right now, you're as likely as not to get panicked stressed out flailing and a stream of nonsensical babble, like "OH MY GOD, HOW WILL I LIVE WITHOUT FRESH FRUIT?!!!!!1111" while you go, quite reasonably, "um... what?"
A lot of stuff has happened since my last update. I went to see a musical (Thoroughly Modern Millie, it was very good), I finally had the prize ceremony for a law course I topped a year ago (fulfilling one of my life goals, and getting a complementary USB drive and possible job offer as a paralegal from Clayton Utz in the process), played all four of the Ace Attorney games (and got sucked into the damn fandom), finally watched S2 of Life on Mars and... a lot of stuff to do with Japan. I visited all my specialists (eyes, teeth, blood sugar and internal organs all good), bought myself $400-500 worth of new clothes with my mother's blessing and promise to pay, got the confirmation of first my entry into the university and then my visa, sorted out my 6 months worth of diabetes supplies, and sent off for my pre-permission certificate to bring my meds into the country, which had BETTER BLOODY ARRIVE IN TIME.
I also booked my plane tickets.
I'm leaving on the 2nd of April.
I am kind of MASSIVELY FREAKED OUT.
Which is why, dear f-list, I am pretty much useless right now. I'm a mess of even-weirder-than-normal sleeping hours and trying to socialise with people before I can't see them for a year and trying to sort out my flight and diabetes and research project and things wot need packing and FRAZZLED NERVES. Oh my god, I don't even know what I'm doing. *headdesk*
Anyway, um, yes. 19 days, counting down? Urk. I don't even know whether or not I have a scholarship. *whimper*

Date: 2008-03-14 10:43 am (UTC)That's a relief. Although how heavy will the uni load be, how much work will I have time to do? Mostly I'd just like to know, though, I don't even know if they've decided the scholarships and I just haven't gotten one or WHAT.
Hanging out together in Tokyo, it's going to be FABULOUS. ♥

Date: 2008-03-14 11:41 am (UTC)As for phones, I'd recommend a Softbank phone. I got AU and their service is really crap (but cheap as). And Softbank phones are miles better too XD
That's really weird that they haven't told you about the scholarships yet. I wonder what's going on? >.<
OMG yes! And I can take you around and show you cool stuff akjfghkajgdf come on April, where are you?

Date: 2008-03-15 12:31 pm (UTC)It's certainly a possibility! There are a number of bunnies, though I never know whether they will be realised or not. At the moment I'm working on an FFIV fic, and I'm hoping to get the next part of boyband!X done before I go to Japan...
(Btw, I haven't TOTALLY given up on the miscellaneous-gift-fics-formerly-known-as-Christmas-presents, although I don't know when any particular outstanding fics will be done-- but I had an idea involving yours earlier today, and I was wondering, if it turned out kind of really depressing, how would you feel about that? I was thinking of setting it post Rainbow Bridge and having Subaru wish to bring Seishirou back, but he'd obviously have to pay a very high price for a wish like that.)
