Okay, I've been working on a post of fannish reactions and an ever-increasingly behind post on life in general for a while now, but I kept getting distracted-- first by reading all 36 volumes of Hana yori Dango in two days (...orz) and then by watching all 49 episodes of Kamen Rider Kabuto in about four (orz orz) and promptly writing 8000 words on two different fics regarding same. Cough.

But, you know, I figured I may as well post to let people know I aten't dead and all. Also, lazulisong and beckerbell did the fic meme, and I am a sheep. Baa.

Unfortunately I'm terrible at these memes because, as a writer, I know that more specific prompts are usually easier-- but whenever I get a really specific idea, I want to write it myself, even though it's not like I don't already have literally around fifty bunnies in almost as many fandoms. It's like a disease, I can't help it. ;___;

(Although, after quite a lot of thought and effort, I've managed to at least put more detail than "pairing plz!" XD; not that I think anybody will write these for me, because largely when I get cravings it's because something is totally obscure and I can't get it anywhere, but oh well.)

1. Gokusen, ShinKumi, drama verse. Their personalities are different enough to the manga verse that they're not a substitute for each other, and they actually get a satisfactory ending in the manga, but most of the (very minute amount) of fic is manga-verse. So I crave post-S1 Shinkumi. I don't care either way about whether it accepts the special or S2 as canon, just so long as there is lots of Yankumi being oblivious and Shin eventually attaining hard-won Victory while his classmates mock him a lot.

2. Kamen Rider Kabuto, Kagami/Tendou. ANY Kagami/Tendou. Have you seen the fandom? NO, because there isn't one! Or practically none, anyway. Fic set after That Scene in episode 43 or after Tendou comes back from his trip to France would be particularly appreciated. Or delicious crazypants Tendou is always fun.

3. Soul Eater, Stein/Spirit (AKA DeathScythe), just ANYTHING. There is like, no fic for this pairing! ;__; But something set during Stein's descent into crazy with Spirit worrying and Stein grasping to him as a last link to sanity could be nice. Or something really bitter and charged after that reunion scene in episode 7 of the anime (the same scene is in the manga somewhere early-ish, but it's not quite so... subtexty).

4. Arashi, AibaJun. I would totally second beckerbell's request for epic fic following their relationship from conception onwards with lots of band antics. Failing that, highschool AU. THERE IS ALWAYS ROOM FOR A HIGHSCHOOL AU, OKAY. it would totally be gold. Aiba could be a sports jock! Jun would be a drama student! obviously it would have to involve their stupid bandmates (and hopefully Ohmiya), because there is no such thing as Arashi fic without all of Arashi and if you say there is I won't believe you. Bonus points for other JE bands.

5. MCR, Frank/Gerard. I know fic exists for this, even incredibly epic fic, I just always want more. .___. Maybe something where they sort of accidentally stumble into a friends with benefits arrangements, only it's not really casual for either of them and they're both freaking out and being all messed up over it because they're too bad at this shit to work it out at first? I unno. There should be Brian. There should ALWAYS be Brian.

6. Kamen Rider Kabuto, Daisuke/Gon eight years in the future! romantic but family-friendly, I think it would be too hard to separate future!Yuriko from now!Gon in my head for me to be comfortable with makeouts. Yuriko decides now is a good time to put her foot down on Daisuke's idiocy and show him how things stand around here. Daisuke hasn't quite figured out that she is not in fact a child anymore. Antics ensue.

7. Odin Sphere, Ingus/Mercedes. I don't care what, I just want them to end up together and have a goddamn happy ending. Achieve this however you want. There maybe super bonus points if it's via epic highschool AU. ... SHUT UP, OKAY, I KNOW I HAVE A PROBLEM.

8. Tales of the Abyss, Jade/Dist. There need to be crazy antics and Dist being a dorkface and HAPPY ENDINGS because canon needs to stop treating me like a punching bag. Lots of Dist getting pwned and interference from various team members + Nephry and Peony! Dist is insecure, but Jade cares about him in his own VERY SPECIAL WAY.

9. Kamen Rider Kabuto, Tendou/Kagami! This actually IS a specific request because there is only one way I can ever see Tendou topping is if Kagami got a Special Friend who was not him and his jealous and competetive nature drove him to it. (Tendou SMASH.) Probably OMC, because I can't see Kagami having that kind of relationship with anyone else in the existing cast and I think Tendou would react more if it were a guy.

10. Kamen Rider Kabuto, Yaguruma/Kageyama, something looking at the shift in their relationship from the beginning of the series to the end. Either POV would be interesting. Something without a depressing ending might be nice, since I'm still feeling a little kicked in the gut by canon.

You... may sense a theme here. Which is partially just because I'm COMPLETELY FICKLE. On another day, this might have been filled with Seishirou/Subaru and Fuuma/Kamui, or maybe Kyouya/Tamaki. Or Riku/Sora, or whatever of my favourite pairings I'm currently stuck on. I just, you know, happen to be really obsessed with Kabuto right now. Which is not to say that I won't be happy if you write one of other said pairings! Or pretty much just anything drama!Shinkumi, Stein/Spirit or Kagami/Tendou in general, really. :< Oh, or Cecil/Kain! Or Luneth/Arc, or-- *is shot*

Also, GIP. I maybe now have over ten Kabuto icons, which maybe makes me feel a little pathetic. *cough*

Yes, by and large they are severely lacking in fandoms. ^^;

Kamen Rider Kabuto is a Japanese tokusatsu series-- a la power rangers, only instead of mechas and team dynamics there are motorbikes and two dudes being incredibly gay at each other.

Arashi is a Japanese boyband.

Odin Sphere and Tales of the Abyss are PS2 games.

Soul Eater is a manga running in GanGan that is currently in its first season as an anime.

And Gokusen is a Jdrama based on a manga. XD
