Nov. 20th, 2008 12:13 amToday was really, REALLY cold. I didn't realise this until I was walking to work this evening because my room is actually fairly warm-- which was a bitch in summer but is something I'm eternally grateful for now. It's 22 degrees in here (I have a clock which tells the temperature as well) and something like 13 outside, so go figure.
The down side to this was I really was not expecting it to be that cold when it's been warmer again for the past several days and I didn't wear a cap. And my head seriously froze. ><
Also, it turned out I left an HOUR before I needed to because the student that suddenly quit on me quit even more suddenly than I'd realised-- when Kayako-san said "from next week" I thought that meant tonight would be the last lesson, but no, apparently it INCLUDED tonight. So in other words she quit without even telling me. I'm kind of offended by that, but whatever. As for going an hour early, I was kind of annoyed with myself for that misunderstanding, especially since I'd been in the middle of a conversation when I'd left, but it turned out okay; I walked to the station to buy dinner and ran into a guy that I DON'T KNOW HOW I KNOW which is really embarrassing but oh well. orz And then I saw Rachael. Sankichi being a popular place for uni students to buy food and also right outside the train station it's a hot spot for running into people.
After that I returned a missed call on my walk back to the Lingua House-- from one of the members of the Fuchuu English Club who went to Enoshima about a lunch on Friday, we're meeting up at the edge of my campus at 1pm, should be fun-- and ate my yaki udon when I got back.
Aaaaah, real food. That's the first thing I've had since Sunday night that isn't Gatorade, bread or an apple. <3
Also, Shinobu was early so we chatted for a bit while I finished my dinner before we started the class. She and Kanako are going to Kyoto on the weekend, which I'm sure will be nice. I'm meeting up with them tomorrow, too; it seems their classes at the police academy go until 6 so the Gaigo-sai stalls might be closed by then, but we figured even if they are we can go eat dinner together, so. Looking forward to that. :)
Conclusion: some annoyances with the cold and the non-lesson, but more than made up for. Plus I finally did a clean up of my clothes-- sorted out the heavy clothes, put the summer clothes back in my suitcase, paired up socks, etc-- and put on some loads of washing, so today has been rather pleasant overall.
Meanwhile, a completely pointless poll that probably won't result in anything, but you never know! ... Oh god, no good can come of this.

Date: 2008-11-20 01:26 am (UTC)Basically, while Cori would have chosen Mirage on a series of radio buttons and Meg would have gone for Kabuto, you remain one of three people (one of whom being one of my betas for boyband!X who only chose *POINTS AND LAUGHS*, so who doesn't really count so far as this is concerned) who DIDN'T choose boyband!X. XDDD
Although, you know, even without you stacking the deck Arashi would have come third? It seems everybody wants either boyband!X or Mirage of Blaze, with the very occasional desire for Arashi. Or in the case of two particular persons, Kabuto.

Date: 2008-11-20 01:30 am (UTC)And THERE. Now Kabuto and Arashi are even. I have more journals if you like. *STARES*
Also, I feel everyone else can go suck it, I WANT KABUTO. *STAAAAAARES*

Date: 2008-11-20 01:36 am (UTC)EVEN MATHEMATICALLY IT WILL NOT HELP YOU. Because comparatively it will say 30.8% of 12 people voted for Kabuto and 61.5% voted for bb!X, but in practice I STILL KNOW that three of those four people are you, so really 9 people voted and 7/9 of them think I should be working on boyband!X. and only one of those 2/9 people thinks I should be working on Kabuto instead. XDDDD

Date: 2008-11-20 01:32 am (UTC)KABUTO KABUTO KABUTO KABUTO KABUTO KABUTO KABUTO KABUTO KABUTO KABUTO.
Besides, I'd probably ask for, like, Asch/Natalia or something. XD
