A day for irony
Jan. 11th, 2009 12:14 amSo this morning, Leareth and I were at Matsuyama station in Shikoku waiting for our train. I was browsing the bookshop, as you do, when I noticed a history serial magazine. Being a total geek for these things, I immediately began to flip through it. Practically the first thing I hit upon? "LOL KAGETORA!" Leareth was still shaking her head at this point with resignation at my antics... Until a moment later when I said AHAHA NAOE and she cracked up too. I was still holding out against buying the thing until it mentioned Kousaka, and then I folded like a cheap card table.
Now, you may be laughing at Tammaiya and her silly mirage obsession now, but it gets better. Picture this: Leareth and I lost on a bridge, in Kyoto, in the (admittedly not very heavy) snow, with our (decidedly heavy) luggage. I pull out the gps to get directions; however, even after it figures out we are no longer in Matsuyama (just a little far) it still can't find what I ask it to look for. Instead it finds...
Naoe Daycare Centre.
Cue Leareth and Tammaiya lost on a bridge in Kyoto in the snow with their luggage, HOWLING WITH LAUGHTER.
And with that mental image, I bid you all goodnight!
