Oh no!! You poor thing hugs* you know there is still a chance he'll be okay when your old and have a cancer the cells dont rejuvinate so it doesn't spread as fast and chemo is more likely to work

I typed a whole long reply to this, then my computer died. Argh.
The main thing, though, was thankyou. It helps to know the cancer will spread slowly.
Because grandpa is 86, though, they aren't going to try any treatment. The risk is too high. I guess I know that everyone has to die sometime, as much as it hurts. I just want to keep him for as long as possible.
I wouldn't want him to be forced to live if his health and quality of life are too bad, though. That wouldn't be fair to him.

Yeah,it's awful that he's too old for treatment, although thta means that his quality of life will be better for a while( chemo is really painful) I hope you cherish your time with him

Urgh, is it ever! My mum used to eat yoghurt before or after chemo, and now it makes her nauseous. That was 5 years ago...
But yeah, he's apparently quite cheerful. He does get to go home, after all, and it's probably a relief to know what's wrong.
