Nov. 21st, 2003 11:57 pmGuess who hasn't had dinner yet? That's right, MEEE! And yes, it is midnight. My computer clock is functioning fine.
Day... no. Week went as such:
Monday- Maths exam first thing in the morning, was awoken with coffee. Had trouble sleeping the night before because a) I am an insomniac and ALWAYS have trouble sleeping and b) I was running through mathmatical formulas in my mind, which does impede sleep somewhat. Exam went... ok. Stuffed the last question up, because I am an idiot. I forgot the derivative was the gradient function. URG. That night, auntie Marie and uncle Chas came over for dinner. Had 25 year old port. Damn, that's some old wine there. Felt a bit outclassed, really. Out-aged, certainly.
Tuesday: Partially spent studying history; MOSTLY spent slobbing. Couldn't sleep that night because- you guessed it- mental revision of History and English. Lying there, attempting to sleep, all the while thinking "the Great Schism occured between 1378 and 1417... the existentialist views expressed by Guildenstern throughout the play are ironic when taking into consideration the outcome of the play..."
Wednesday: Once more woken up by coffee. Stuffed around on the computer until it was time to go face my DOOM. English was a complete write-off, due to the fact that despite the easiness of the question I tried to cram too much information in, went over the word limit BAD, went off on irrelevent tangents and had the shittiest conclusion known to man. History weren't so bad, but the documents were Ebil and my paragraph on the 7 Sacraments was dodgy-as. Started walking home in the incredible heat (which I was almost passing out from- I'm more tolerent of cold than most people, but I take heat VERY badly) when my mum drove past and picked me up. Whoo!
... this time it was the mental IT studying that prevented my sleep.
Thursday: Woken up with- dun dun DUN- coffee. IT test was surprisingly evil when I was expecting Ultimate Doom Test From Hell (tm). Started walking home, was picked up by father. Eheheheh. Actually DID study Japanese. Although mostly I just started translating the Mystic Quest guide. ^^;
REALLY couldn't sleep, due to a combination of heat and mental japanese study.
Today: Was not, in fact, awakened by coffee. Because I got practically no sleep and none of it deep, I wide awake by 7.30am. This is not when I woke up; this was just when I gave up trying to sleep. The waking up never really happened because to wake up one first needs to sleep.
Started studying Japanese in the morning, woke dad up, went to school. Made up new and intriguing forms of grammar that probably resemble existing grammatical structure in some minute way. At least I used lots of kanji. Whoo. Anyway, no idea how it went. All I know is I'm FREE.
So, being free, I was picked up by my dad (by arrangement rather than chance this time) and went home and... translated Japanese? Yes, I'm a freak. What else is new? There will be playing of Legend of Mana and Chrono Cross at SOME point in these holidays, though, that I SWEAR. Then I had sushi for lunch, went to work at 5, went over-time until 9.45 instead of 9, was picked up by auntie Marie and went to her apartment because I had left my housekey at home, forgetting I needed it. BAKAYAROU. Anyway. Only just got home. Also, mind is a weirdly confused and semi-bilingual place right now. Can only count in japanese; keep forgetting english words in favour of japanese. Huzzah.
12.15, and I still haven't had dinner. Haven't eaten since lunch, which was sushi.
So. No food, no sleep.
Damn, I think I'm malfunctioning. *pause* Well, that's the holidays off to their usual start, then. Food and sleep deprivation is the normal state.
